Central has four + the bay platforms, and all are bi-di. I have been able to travel through each platform now in either direction save for P1 in the Down direction though I know members here are proud to achieved 'Any Which Way You Can', to take off Clint Eastwood. P1 is the usual UP direction platform, and P2 for the 'local' trains. P3s are used for looping and reversing Southern trains, etc. P4 is the usual Down main platform. Is there any booked use then of P4 in the Up direction and P2 and P1 in the Down? The last time that I saw P1 used in the country direction was XC trains reversing to use the Laverstock Loop during engineering works.

I think you meant P1 is the usual up fast in your description...

Nothing booked in the Dec 2009 - May 2010 SWT CWNs, but there could be a FGW from P2b in the down direction. (Haven't got the current CWN though). I've only ever done P1 in the down direction with XC diversions, however only recently I saw a Weymouth service go through P1, this was to pick up a wheelchair customer (stuck on P1 due to a broken lift) who was heading for Bournemouth.

I think there's one ECS departure in the up direction from P4 about 1930.

Southern trains have been booked normally into P3 (Victoria)and P2 (Brighton) for the last year or so, and P3 is also normally used by the down Pooles and Salisburys.

They are all booked to use platform 3 in the down direction and platform 2 in the up direction.

During Laverstock diversions you can arrive in to platform 4 from the Redbridge direction, although departure is heading back towards Redbridge.
