Can you tell me when you first applied? I applied for Grove Park last June and I’m still waiting for my assessment date. Good luck with your DMI!!!

I received a phone call this morning to say I’ve passed the DMI, and pending a medical, my training start date is in August for Dartford depot.

The advice and guidance on this forum has been invaluable, thank you to all!

Can you help me with the M7SJT. I have failed in one M7SJT. And I have another one coming up. I don't know what was the reason for the first failure. I was kept the safety and conscious as key for the SJT. But I couldnt complete all the questions. I missed 4. Do you think that is the reason. Can you please help me. Also what all should I keep mind. How easy is it

Well done! My medical isn’t until next week (I assume I’m fit and healthy but who knows ), and my course begins 11 August.

Hopefully someone who has recently started can give a proper answer to your questions; nothing like a final bit of paranoia before you’re sat in the classroom.

If the tests are clear you should be offered a contract, medical is the final step, and if there is a course they are lining you up for (August you say) then they would have no reason to put you on hold.

Hi mate, all I can say is think along the lines of rules and safety first as it sounds you are already. Just think carefully about which Answer you pick for each question and work as quickly as possible. I’m not sure if you actually have to answer all of the questions I did and managed to finish in around 45 minutes.. sorry I couldn’t be more help good luck.

I had my MMI yesterday, and I passed! I'm absolutely buzzing, and still can't quite believe it! No DMI date yet, sadly, but hopefully it won't be too long a wait

There were interviews over April/May at Ramsgate. Can’t comment on the other depots though sorry.

Disappointingly I failed my DMI, just waiting to get my feedback.

I’m not sure if each interview follows the same framework, but there were questions on your company knowledge. Competency based questions, tell me a time you… etc. PM me if you like. Not sure if it’s appropriate for me to list it all out here.

far as I’m aware all 3 depots you’ve listed are finished recruiting for the year, have had a large intake of trainees. Currently a trainee myself.

I had a call from them about an hour ago, they moved my first choice from Faversham to Ramsgate - as there’s more training opening up there.

So fingers crossed I hear something soon!

How was your DMI, and do you mind me asking which depot you went with?

Nice, glad to hear they are being proactive. Ramsgate is a decent depot. A lot more routes, and sign less traction so a bonus.

My DMI was very laid back, be yourself. Do your research on the company facts, number of stations, types of trains etc. be honest. Don’t mention money lol.
