There are 6 units at Hove, soz couldn't ID as on train. One driving car has been completely tagged by the locals
The Billingshurst school train ran for many years and I think (but not 100% sure) it lasted till late eighties/ early nineties. The Arundel shuttle ran much later just about making it in to Electrostar days. I think that precovid there was still a weird coastway working via Littlehampton to Chi that terminated there and then formed a service to Victoria that formed the same purpose. What era are you thinking of? I don't think a class 455 has run south of Horsham in service. There used to be a special train every September for Christ's Hospital school. It ran to Blackfriars or Cannon Street. It ran to Billingshurst to reverse. I heard a rumour that class 319s did it one year.
They used to go regularly to Chart Leacon works at Ashford but Sevenoaks seems to be fairly uncharted territory - I guess clearance is inherited from 319 operation over the relevant routes.
I might be in the area again tomorrow and will take numbers if I can, however, will only be able to note those nearest the platform.Planning a trip to Hove next Thursday. Hoping 455839 will still be there, if not out and about!
Possibly in normal service... depends how many are still in action! Will the 455s still go through Crystal Palace on the last day of service?
Probably no coincidence, but 838, 839 and 841 were early recipients of the then new Southern livery prior to refurbishmentCurrently 810, 827, 831, 838, 839 and 841 in Hove Yard.

the stock allocation is not yet complete, but the plan is for 455's to work the majority of the London Bridge - Victoria and Victoria - West Croydon. Will the 455s still go through Crystal Palace on the last day of service?
There are a few units in very poor external cobdition...mainly due to graffiti attacks. Not sure if these are the onesProbably no coincidence, but 838, 839 and 841 were early recipients of the then new Southern livery prior to refurbishment
A pair also went to Tattenham Corner in the evening too, likely for the last time I suspect. More 455s on London Bridge to Dorkings on 9th/10th April. They were using 8 car 455s on Saturday (26 March) on the modified London Bridge to Dorking route.
It is before 12 o'clock I supposeThere has been a change of plan at GTR, and the 455’s will now be staying at Southern for the foreseeable future. This is because no replacement stock was able to be sourced, despite the best efforts to get the 377/5’s released from Southeastern.
If you're being truthful, it may have been the wrong day to state that! There has been a change of plan at GTR, and the 455’s will now be staying at Southern for the foreseeable future. Is the full timetable returning here, as in the pre-covid one?Hoping it's not an April Fool as it feels obvious to me there won't be enough stock to cover all the 455 turns, especially with the return of the full timetable in May. There still seem to be plenty of them out every day and seeing some short forms which presumably are a result of some of them being taken away
