Hi everyone

Just wanted to get a little bit of info..
Regarding the AART I just wanted to know what the average pass mark was. It's not hard but obv need to use my short term memory to a greater aspect:
I'm getting around 69/100 questions correct is that any good?
The grey box test doesn't seem that bad similar to the dots as you have to focus and concentrate.
The 2hand test is tricky but I feel sufficient practice using 2 hands to draw (using the practice materials given) will make it less impending.
Just wanted to get some clarity on what most people found hard and if they knew anything regarding the pass mark?

Thank you all :)

Lol bloody autocorrect I meant to type atavt basically the test where they show you images of traffic etc and you have about a second to look at the image and choose what you saw from a multiple choice of answers

Hope that helps!
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Also one more question! What is the bespoke Lorol vse? Is it similar to the atavt?
Thank you again sorry if I seem pedantic just wanna make sure I'm prepared that's all:)

69/100 using what to test yourself?

Vse - visual search exercise. It should be in the practice materials.

The VSE is more like the TEA-OCC as you are doing two things at once. The practice materials give a pretty good idea of what you will be doing. Just remember to concentrate on the primary task as per the introductions as that is the most important.

Strange question - has anyone notified lorol to say they CAN'T attend the stage 2 testing on either 2 or 3 of February? I'm hoping a space will open up because I was unable to attend the stage 2 on 27 january. I understand only four people at a time can attend the stage 2 at the OPC at any time, unless someone knows otherwise?

Is this the second time you couldn't attend?

Sort of. Was originally shortlisted for London Midland back in August last year, but I got the email calling me for interview when I was in Canada and unable to return to the uk. Then made it through Lorol stage 1 on December 23, only to be invited back on 27 January for Stage 2 but was giving evidence in court that day so could not attend then either! Lorol have said they'll try and reschedule but heard nothing. I'm available on 2 & 3 feb which is their next and I think final test dates but there are no spaces. Such bad luck!

Hi All,

Just wanted a bit of feedback from people who have completed stage 2 assessments with Lorol...don't want any answers don't worry! Just wanted to know what people found hard etc. I'm already expecting a challenging day but would like to know how everyone found it. my main concerns are the bespoke VSE and the Atavt.

Thank you in advance
And good luck to my fellow people in these positions :)

Patters,

Firstly, the MMI was in my experience where I spent most of my prep time after finding I'd made it to Stage 2.

I'd book a hotel for an overnight stay unless you are very close to Watford, given you only get two attempts, it's worth the cost (in my opinion) to be well-rested on the day.

You'll get TRP1 and TRP2 to start with, fairly straightforward but make sure you read the instructions.

The Vienna Test System (WAFV, ATAVT and 2HAND), you can't do that much to prepare for, it really is do you have the ability or do you not. Everyone on my day passed this, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Wouldn't worry too much about the VSE, I don't think it's one of the "two strikes" tests since it's bespoke to LOROL and MTR.

The MMI is tough and very subjective, the RSSB website can be useful in finding out what they are looking for behaviours-wise. Plenty of advice already on here for it too.

I passed on the day, didn't make it past the DMI but at least the assessments are out of the way.

i have been waiting for a test date since December. and haven't hear anything from them. i think they are going to reject my application. Reading these comments people have already been to assessment centre, some of them twice. I called them they said they are trying there best to deal with all application. i think once they get enough people passing they will reject other applicants. One question, if anyone has done the VSE test can you tell me what was involved? was it like shapes or dots?

Hey Economist thanks for getting back to me! Yeah I thought the MMI would be hard but I've got like 8-9 examples and can prob think of more if I put my mind to it. I've live just off the m25 so Watford is down the road I actually drove there yesterday to have a look at the place as it was wrong on google maps but managed to find it!
Thanks again so much as your feedback really helps :)

Hi

They do assessments in batches so if you were not considered for this current one they may put you through the next one in few months time.

Yes the VSE is dot (tracking) + shapes - Google Visual search exercise for more info.

All the best

Hey thanks for the information. LOROL told me it might take up to 4 months for them to reply. Bu hope they do couple of batches in 4 months. I sent my application on 30th November., 14 th December was the deadline. So if I consider 14 th December as the start date to call applicants to test that means my application has been waiting for 6 weeks. That means I have 10 more weeks to go. I hope I get a test date. I only need to do VSE test. I passed all other ones.

Hi all,

Did anyone else here attend the stage 2 assessments at Watford last week?

If so, has anyone heard back from LOROL?

Regards

Craig.

Hey Craig, I was there last Weds. Called HR yesterday to ask whether there was a result and was told that I'd passed! Just waiting for the email to confirm when I'll be going in.

It may be worth you calling HR as well just to see where you're at :)

I just gave them a call but was told they were in the process of getting back to everyone and that I would hear from them soon! :?

I've still not heard anything.

Has anyone else had any response?
I got an email yesterday lunchtime finally confirming I'd passed but didn't say much else apart from saying they'd be in touch shortly with details for the next stage.

Did you get one as well Craig?

Yes I got one as well!

Same as you though, just stating that I'd passed and they would be in touch about the next stage.

Very pleased though and congrats to you!

Well done! Do you mind me asking when you had your manager's interview if you're starting in early March? Just trying to gauge how long it could take potentially :o

Yes I had my driver manager interview 1st week in December 2015, medical week after, at the end of the interview they asked if I could possibly start on the end of Jan 2016 course (NXG intake) which I couldn't due to notice period at current work. So for me it has been an extremely quick process!

Thanks Scott that's great. If I'm successful then I can hopefully move quite quickly it seems!

All the best to you and good luck with your training course.
