Thank you. I was more looking for information on where each buses were due to go. I should've specified.

I saw a document on it recently but I can't remember where it was.

Below is the list as originally planned, however I hear there may be changes to this, although I can't confirm exactly what (although there has been a mention elsewhere that the Torquay batch may be getting diverted elsewhere, the source is one of the Stagecoach SW FB groups....). Also, the Kendal ones are very near delivery now, one registered YX23OOW https://twitter.com/fogonthetyne92/status/1635642763290050561

In the Stagecoach press release it said that Portsmouth would be getting a batch of these vehicles. Would they get part of Chichesters batch?

I'm guessing the Chichester ones would work the western end of the 700???

Are we sure they are going elsewhere? I saw it as a joke because people brought up the subject of the new buses every day.

Thank you for providing a list

Until they start delivery to Torquay or elsewhere, we can't be sure, but yes, I have seen the same posts asking about them almost daily!

I see this is still in the Lake District version of beachball. I presume this is at the behest of local government who wanted to keep their green buses?

I’m am surprised there are orders for Manchester given the impending franchising

Yeah same here tbh. I think it will probably just be a temporary thing, and then once the TfL style franchising in Manchester is fully operational, I supect the new and current MMCs up there will transfer to other Stagecoach divisions.

Rather than asking us to move off-topic posts, it would be appreciated if you post in the correct thread in the first place. If you see a thread starting to drift, you can quote it and then respond in the relevant thread. If you wish to ask us to move posts, using the report function is the correct way to do this.

Once again, let's keep this thread for discussing matters affecting Stagecoach at the group level and keep local discussions to the relevant threads.
Edit - The discussion about Cambridge services has been moved here:

Either they'll be moved on before the franchising affects them, or they'll be sold at full market rate to TfGM as has already happened with Rotala(?). Either way, Stagecoach don't lose!

Just resurrecting this thread as there seem to be some small changes to the above list, which are listed below (info from Buses magazine)

11607-11628 no longer for Torquay, now 11607-11620 for North East (Walkergate) and 11621-11628 for Merseyside & South Lancashire (Rock Ferry)

Also 11603-11606 are due for Folkestone instead of Winchester, and only 11652-11658 listed for Folkestone, unknown where 11659-11662 are for now....

Good to see new double deckers for Rock Ferry. The depot has quite a number of elderly buses brought in from other regions.

I heard yesterday these were now destined for Blairgowrie (East Scotland), but not sure how true that is

There are rumours from Plymothian Transit (blog) that apparently the new Enviro 400s on order for Torbay are no longer coming to Torbay and have been reallocated to another area?

I'm disappointed about Winchester losing it's - means our (in Hampshire / South) elderly tridents will continue for a little longer, unless some replacements are cascaded up Fromm the Coast again.

Personally I have noticed more than ever now, they seem to be getting bigger in areas that they may not of been to before.

If you look at Bristol, for example, they are doing park and ride as well as other services. They don't seem to be slowing down at all, so they definitely are expanding.

Stagecoach UK Managing Director Carla Stockton-Jones is to leave her role at the end of August. As her career history was with Sky, I always thought it was an odd appointment.

Stagecoach UK Managing Director Carla Stockton-Jones is to leave her role at the end of August, the company has announced. No replacement has yet been named.

Carla took up the position in October 2020, when it was believed she became the first woman to head a major private sector multi-modal public transport operation in the UK.

She joined the company as Regional Director South of England in February 2020 and was announced as interim Managing Director in July of that year. She had previously held senior positions with Sky.

A statement from Stagecoach Group reads: “Stagecoach’s UK Managing Director, Carla Stockton-Jones, has announced that she will be leaving the business at the end of August to seek new growth opportunities outside of Stagecoach.”

Carla, who had responsibility for more than 8000 vehicles and 24,000 staff, took over at the helm at a difficult time for the coach and bus sector due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Can't blame her; public transport is crap work.

Excellent news; she has really messed up what was once a good business. The brand presentation is so amateurish now, morale is low and priorities are all over the place.

I certainly got the impression from her leaving message that it wasn't necessarily her decision.

I've noticed in the last week or so a number of local Stagecoach buses (Stagecoach South division, Aldershot and the two Guildford depots' routes) being driven by drivers in casual clothing. I initially wondered if there was a temporary uniform supply issue given the number of new recruits being sought and trained at present, however the more I see the more I wonder if maybe there is an easement in uniform policy allowing drivers to wear clothing they find most comfortable given the current weather? Just out of pure curiosity I wondered if anyone knew if either of these were the case, and/or if this was also occurring in other areas of Stagecoach's operations too?

Most likely agency drivers I'd have thought.

Yes, that certainly seems to be the impression I've heard. Whilst I disliked Mr Souter, at least he seemed to have kept a tight ship - the current company seems a mess inn comparison. Not Arriva levels of mess, but it's getting close!

Where I work, it's not uncommon for new starters to have to wait for uniform orders to arrive, thus having to wear their own clothes for varying periods of time.

During last years very hot spell, we had uniform rules relaxed to allow the wearing of cooler, more comfortable clothing.

Could be agency drivers, but I'd probably be leaning towards one of the other options. On the limited number of occasions I've seen/spoken to agency drivers they've been in some sort of uniform, or at least adhering to some sort of smart dress code.
