Tonight or long term??
It’s going out tonight to work the 142/143 and I believe it’s going to run the last commercial trip on one of them.

Long term it’s having some work done at Queens road and will be repainted into beachball livery and donated to the museum.
I meant in terms of what it’s going to be on today just seen it out of service at Piccadilly Gardens.

The Heritage buses have been called back to Hyde Rd for a photo shoot apparently...

Currently riding round on 4706 looking for it!

does anyone know what the plan is with 19001?
Pictures show 19001 in service with GMBuses South Atlantean 4706 shadowing behind from the museum of transport.

Whilst this all good stuff, it would be wise to remember Stagecoach operates (d) more than Hyde Road depot. Here in Ashton, the final day so far has been run with buses that have not seen a wash since before xmas, and adorned with stickers to denote where they will be when i wake up tomorrow. 10578/9 N East, 19401 East Scotland, 19353/7 South. Farewell Stagecoach Ashton!

Spotted in Stockport today a bus in beachball with it's bee sticker that got put on after the Arena bombing. Didn't know there were any of those still out there!

Don't worry. Lots of shiny and clean buses on the road tomorrow! Maybe...

Considering Hyde Road is now Metroline and I don't think Queens Road have a paint shop anymore any ideas of where 19001 will be repainted?

Queens actually painted one of the early E400’s into yellow a few months back but it will probably go to Oldham or get shipped out to Birkenhead.

Crazy to think how much of a transformation Stagecoach Manchester has undergone in the past 10 months or so - introducing 246 brand new buses to the roads and relocating the majority of the business from what was GMS to GMN with a bit of GMS still on the side and all without any major hitches along the way!

A tremendous achievement by everyone to be fair in what has really been the biggest shakeup in over 30 years...

Indeed, I only mentioned Stagecoach because of the thread title but every Operator in Manchester has done a tremendous job from mass recruitment to opening new depots & refurbishing fleets, it’s pretty astonishing.

I’ve got to be completely honest. I’ve been involved in the changeovers at depots in Tranche 1/2 and finally last night at tranche 3 and Stagecoach have been bar far the most organised and professional.
Many won’t know this but the franchised Stagecoach depots were kind of put on a back burner while focus was in the commercial side - making as much money as possible, a very clever move.
GNW completely abandoned their commercial work once they took on Bolton and Wigan, they let their staff and more importantly customers down massively at Queens Road in the final months but stagecoach most certainly go out on a massive high.

Are any single deckers allocated to Stockport at all now - either today or due for delivery in the future? Looking on Bustimes I can only see double deckers on Stockport routes

The fleet transformation at Queens Road alone in the past month or so has been phenominal.

Thanks. Are the 4 single decks are intended specifically for the 312, which looking at the timetable seems to have a PVR of 3 (so 4 buses needed allowing for one spare)? I recall it tended to get the smallest vehicles in the fleet previously.

Feel free to correct me but if I remember right they are for the 325

Really really was hoping you weren’t going to say this - it’s always crush loaded at school times. But at least no more of those Optare minibuses

Only reason I can think of is that we can’t be trusted with nice things up here :D

In a rather unexpected but exciting move, SL64 plate Enviro400 MMCs 10423/24 appear to have moved to Queens Road, and are in use on the free bus today! (can confirm it’s not just a tracking error, saw one in Shudehill earlier)

The edits on bustimes are correct, 19293 is on loan to Metroline and 19396 has transferred to Stagecoach East Mids - don't know what else you want beyond that.

I have a list from one of the companies concerned of the E400s that have gone on loan from Stagecoach to Metroline. 19293 does not feature on the list. Another reputable online source has published a list of the E400s that have gone to SEM. 19396 does not feature on it. Hence both queries.

I believe 19396 should become a trainer with Manchester, and 19293 should be off to Merseyside......

11505/6/7 have moved from Queens road to Stockport and 10423/4 and 10429 have all come the other way to Queens road.
10429 is in the poppy livery and it’s not yet known whether it will see use in this livery or go for re-paint.

Considering the livery it's in it would be a shame if 10429 had to go for repaint before entering service at Queens Road, can't there be a special dispensation with it being a poppy bus? I mean it's managed to carry this same livery for the past couple of years without it being a problem so don't see why it should be a problem now.

I can understand if it was in a livery for something else but surely with it being a poppy bus it should be left alone, surely if Metrolink 3022 can be left in the livery it's in 10429 should be treated the same.
