The buses you are talking about (remaining E400s) were due to move to East Midlands, but this has mostly been postponed. The remaining 08 plate Trident E400s at Hyde Road, Sharston and Ashton are now going on short term loan to Metroline, whilst the buses they have ordered slowly arrive. However, there are still some cascades due for the East Midlands, although I am not sure what or when they are coming.

Although, as others have said, plans are changing on a daily basis - nothing is set in stone

I’m just going to wait and see and then it will all be a big surprise

I don’t know why people need exact details in fine detail before the event

Is the "event" you refer to some sort of running day planned for Saturday coming? I've heard that all the "heritage" liveries will be running on one route for the day Details are important to some of us who are thinking of going up to Manchester to see them as its a long way and a potentially expensive day out...

Any info appreciated (not on facebook so don't know what, if anything has been said there and by whom)

I have now seen a list from a friend at a Manchester depot and one from Grimsby (both similar lists) with a list of 19's getting collected on 4th by drivers from Scunthorpe, Lincoln, Grimsby and Skegness for those said depots so it's confirmed that Hull are not receiving any apparently Hull are receiving buses from Scunthorpe and Skegness once these 19's arrive on night of the 4th Jan as to what buses that doesn't say

Are the 73 plates coming or have plans changed for them? Maybe Hull will get some early Enviro 400s back till their electric buses arrive.

Why are they sending all the old stuff to Hull

Skegness have some 73 plates don’t they too
Hull have a fairly modern double decker fleet so anything arriving will be older. I would expect the 73s at Skegness will stay there for the 56.

31 of the 24 plates due to cascade from South Manchester Depots Friday night into Saturday to Queens Road. Eventually Queens will have pretty much all the 24 plates in the range of 11819-63.

Like everything in this thread there’s been various conflicting reports but the general consensus seems to be Hyde Road plan to operate all of 19001 (Stripes), 19288 (Magic bus), 19470 (GM Transport) and 19532 (GM South) on the Magicbus 142/3 routes on Saturday.

Initially it was said this would just be for the afternoon/evening, other reports have said all day… it’s also been said 19001 would be due to operate the very last commercial service, but what that is hasn’t been confirmed either…

I hope that helps a little, maybe someone local can help fill in for me!

E400's and E300's I believe from Scunthorpe and Skegness are switching some be on the night of 4th from Scunthorpe then day or so later once the Manchester E400's are ready they be releasing more E400/300's to hull (apparently to replace some 22 series MANs)

Yep interesting it’s happening Friday night and not Saturday night!
Virtually all the remaining B9’s will be withdrawn at end of service Friday night and the 31 MMC’s will roll out for service Saturday morning.

Considering B9s are going to be withdrawn Friday night how long will it be before their in service again?

Also will the Scanias be in service from next Monday?

My only assumption is that the driver resource is needed on Saturday night for the number of other moves needed - I’m assuming for every MMC that’s dropped off a B9 is removed to avoid overstuffing the depot - have you heard where they’re being moved to?

I’d guess that’s how it will work, however I believe only the Scania’s and first 15 B9’s that left the fleet will actually be used at Hyde road. The remaining ones will simply be stored. They are not being inspected by Metroline and will simply go into Storage.

Seen this on Facebook, I thought the B9s at Queens Road would be withdrawn over the course of January?

It appears that some vehicles have acquired small stickers on the front showing where they are due to transfer to.
A friend of mine sent me the image below of 11737- YX73 OXS (in service in Manchester today) carrying a "Grimsby" sticker next to the fleetname on the front

Have there been any further developments on 19001 doing some trips on the 143 tomorrow please? I've got the evening free in Manchester so might have a nosey if it's going ahead.

Thanks. I'll keep an eye on Bustimes and hopefully it continues reasonably late-ish!
No worries...

Further to the above, does anyone know what time FirstBus are taking over the routes on Saturday evening/night?

All the MMCs due to transfer to Queens are either there, on their way or in depot as of 2030- none are out in service on Commercial routes.

The initial plan was to withdrawn them in small batches and replace with MMC’s but the plan changed and all have been withdrawn tonight and replaced with 39 MMC’s.

Midnight until 4am. Any journeys that start after 4am will be with Bee Network operator.

Thanks. I'll keep an eye on Bustimes and hopefully it continues reasonably late-ish!
19001 and I’m assuming the rest of them will be running on 142/143’s Saturday afternoon/early evening.

Not quite. Still 5 at Sharston which will move over at some point today (Saturday). They will require ticket machine bases changing which will happen at some point Sunday so won’t now see service until Monday!

The rest are at Queens road and are out today (Saturday) however most are tracking as ‘spare’ machines and will be swapped over and assigned fleet numbers with tickiter over the weekend.

does anyone know what the plan is with 19001?
Tonight or long term??
It’s going out tonight to work the 142/143 and I believe it’s going to run the last commercial trip on one of them.

Long term it’s having some work done at Queens road and will be repainted into beachball livery and donated to the museum.
