The Hybrids will only be allocated to Service 39/40 on a Monday to Saturday morning, and Services 12, 39/40 on a Sunday morning (for the time being). However, any lost mileage and breakdowns on the other double deck routes (except Service 1) are to be covered by hybrids if they are available.

According to a mate, all 4 running boards were swapped with hybrids on Wednesday night on the 12s, but this didnt happen yesterday when I was on them!

Theres still a few off the road, so the allocation cards suggest 20 E400H and 3 E400s will operate the 39/40 each day, hence why 19196/198/199 are still at Walkergate. Some days (such as last Saturday) all 23 boards were allocated E400Hs, but one inevitably broke down early afternoon.

Im suprised the Hybrids are still having a bit of trouble after a few months in service now ! I know this was the first batch in which the engine layout was slightly different than previous batches in oxford and manchester so maybe that is why problems here are more common than elsewhere.

Don't underestimate how complicated they are as well. It's far more than just an engine, alternator and a few relays....

Most of slatyfords MANs are desperate for new seat re-trims ! The 100's take a battering on a daily basis so its no suprise there getting done too.

Peripheral routes 32/32A/33 & 35 are being withdrawn from the end of March and then tendered by NEXUS. It's unclear what is happening with the 15/15A and 18 at this stage. However, Stagecoach seem to win very few NEXUS contracts these days (I'm not even sure they bother bidding for most of them) so it seems highly likely they will be operated by another company.

It's been reported in a few places that the 12 Transbus Darts from South Shields will go to Sunderland to replace their 12 33xxx Darts, to move to Newcastle to replace step Darts until the routes go, then the 33xxx's will just be withdrawn.

Thanks.

Blair - 17099 is indeed another ex-London Trident that is to be decapitated for City Sightseeing in Cambridge. So in answer to your question, Cambridge is where the pair at Walkergate will be heading.

83G/84D - The Period 8 fleetcard (just uploaded) will provide the answers; http://mbonwick.cu.cc/SCNW/Fleetcards/11/North East
However, the E400s you mention have gone to Slatyford, the ALX300s to South Shields (I think). The B12Bs have changed home to Perth, part of the East Scotland region.
