STAGECOACH MAKES CHANGES TO SERVICES 62/62A AND 76 FROM 4TH JULY 2011, INCLUDING MORE BUSES THROUGH DENTON HOLME TO MORTON PARK.

Customers are advised that Stagecoach will be making changes to a couple of our 'Heart of Carlisle' services from 4th July 2011.

Service 62/62A will have an improved Monday to Saturday daytime frequency of every 15 minutes between Morton Park and Lowry Hill! Alternate daytime journeys will then extend, every 30 minutes, to Kingstown, ASDA and Kingmoor Park North. Monday to Friday peak time buses will continue to serve the full Kingmoor Park estate.

Service 76 will have some minor timetable changes, but buses will still operate at the same frequency.

A new Carlisle Hearts timetable booklet will be available in the next couple of weeks, from the usual outlets.

It was on Megabus service M11, displaying Penrith Market Free Bus on the destination display!

52629 was already out on the 600 and 52627 was already on the 685 so 52626 was all that was spare. B10M did the 685 instead.

Anyone going maritime festival tomorrow?

07andrew says he is going to take an indefinate break from the forum! Also are Stagecoach playing any part what so ever in the park and rides tomorrow? 07andrew is asking, I'd say you know why his asking, he is right up the arse of 52628 as usual :roll eyes:

What maritime festival? Given I've applied for Marine Engineering at a reserve uni, that's the sort of thing I like going to xD

I'm not gonna lie, I'm glad 07andrew is taking a break, I'm impressed how much the standard of discussion has improved in his absence.
There is definitely a place for him here, just not posting regular allocations...

I tend not to post about Reays these days but today I think it's worthwhile. They have decided to pull low floors off the Carlisle routes and use them for the Whitehaven festival.

Thay have Merc 709 B7 & B15 on the 63A with 814 YN54WWU on the 63. MCV YJ60GGF is on the 63 instead of the 63A like the branding says!

They also have 2 more Primos in stock. The only one out today is YX07HPA and it is plain White on the 63A. The other one is in the depot at Wigton VOR. They are both ex Centrebus from what I understand.

As I was leaving town a 64A one had ended up on the 63A but I have no idea what replaced it on the 63A (709.....?).

15683 on evening 30's. First time I've personally seen the displays on the Scania's show something other than not in service, or 300 related.

Completely the opposite end of the country to North West, but something that I hope Gez or someone else may be able to help with.

Stagecoach London;
1. Why does Rainham appear on both the former Thameside and East London licenses?

2. Wikipedia says Upton Park garage is to close in September after the 376 is lost. Is this true?

spotted 27748-27754 today on 3/4 and only one B10B 21007 does that mean the other B10s are withdrawn?

Can't be long now. May have been withdrawn today seeing as tomorrow is Sunday so not as busy. Next week ME may be B10M/B free!

Also for those who haven't seen a proper picture of the new "Borismaster" here it is on display in the transport museum London.

As you can see from the discription a handful are meant to be going into service with Arriva in November with more due at the beginning of 2012.

Anybody know whats happening with 22116 (S116TRJ) and 22135 (S135 TRJ) at the moment, are they just sitting in the yard, it is said they are for the X12 and will be given a full Refurb like 22806 and 22809 were given and then 22116, 22135, 22806 and 22809 will be fitted with LED's and be Branded for the X12. Anyone know anything about this information weather it accurate or not? I was told this by a Stagecoach Employee.

I was under the impression that the PVR for the X12 was going to be 3/4 so I assumed MEs PVR would go up by 4. The two MANs from Manc is 2 so maybe Half the increase is been swallowed up by spares or service cuts?

It will be a half hourly service, so you'll be looking at 2 vehicles

Hello all,

As I've been searching the internet high and low for Preston Bus Station related news I've come across this site a few times in the news results. I can see that there are plenty of bus enthusiasts here, no doubt many of whom have passed through Preston station.

This might be a blatant plug for a site, but I felt it might be relevant and at least might promote discussion amongst knowledgeable enthusiasts. For those that are interested the site is www.prestonbusstation.co.uk and it details various aspects of the bus station's plight, suggestions for its future and news about developments.

As someone who has used the bus station myself I know that it has seen better days, but for a building that is 40 years old and has clearly been underfunded and mismanaged I think the staff have done a great job in keeping the place to the standard that it is.

I'd love to hear more opinions, especially how it compares to other facilities around the region/county?

As much as it's a pretty desperate place inside I hope it stays how it is, when the Sun is out its possible to get some cracking photos with the current 1 way system!

B10Bs still out and about today, mainly on 42s and staff shuttles, but all the B10Ms are sadly gone. More rumours circulating, regarding vehicles, which only time will tell if are true so not going to let anything go on here, lets just say could be a bit surprising.

Would have thought they're still on the back fence at Morecambe...there *should* be enough space if the reserve Darts move and/or 33203/4 get sold.
