Why send the driver trainer out on Staff Shuttle eh?
Err...Wigley's? Fleetlink may have a few, and Ensign for the outside possibility. Given the amount of spares currently sat around, I can't see there being any future for them in Stagecoach.
15685, 22595, 22597 and 22610 on 300-302.
22608 was short 302, replaced by 47061.
16870, 20473, 20910, 20994 and 35246 on 30/31.
20902 normal X5's.
Trainer coach 52268 (RBZ 5459) doing some staff shuttles.
Understandable I guess. Everything Euro4 and above is going? That's basically anything on an 05 plate or newer I believe.
Just one question Gez, where are we gonna store all these until then?![]()

That'll be a no then! One thing though, do Stagecoach still outstation buses in Bowness on Solway?

Me thinks the P-ESA's(20540,544,545,546 and 547) will go to kendal to replace the M regs.

Very short on vehicles. 3 Scania's off, few Darts off, 20962 hasn't been seen for a bit, 14234 is sat on death row, 52628 and 52635 not seen out and about either. 52628 would have probably been first choice on X5 instead of 20902 if it was available.
....all we can do is replace things with MAN's and B10M's - which isn't ideal![]()
Not ideal at all, but not a lot can be done about it
Rather annoying that B10M's have to replace MANs so MANs can replace Scania's though. A B10M could always just replace a Scania, but I suppose the R-XVM's have a 3 speed Voith gearbox, and the MAN's have a 4 speed Voith gearbox. MAN's are, as much as it hurts me to say it, better for holding their speed than the R-XVM's are. 20473 would be much better though, with its nice 4 speed ZF.
It is rather bad though when the allocated spares are 1 Olympian, 3 B10M's, 1 mini Dart, 2 long Darts and 2 Solos. Although, it would be interesting to see a Dart tackle a day on 300-302![]()
When 52628 is not needed I do not see why I cannot go on the 300. Carlisle put 52629 on anything and always manages well!
52628 would manage nicely, but 300 seems to get low floor priority. I suppose 30 & 31 do run every 15 minutes between Maryport and Whitehaven (albeit through different residential areas in Workington), and 31A boosts low floor availability on 31 (covering accessibility between Whitehaven and Frizington, albeit through different residential areas in the Hensingham area). Still provides a regular accessible vehicle between the destinations if a step entrance is shoved in between low floor vehicles. Whereas 300 is the only low floor service operating along the Carlisle - Wigton stretch, and of course, the only bus service serving Aspatria (since Tuesday and Friday only service 39 Aspatria - Carlisle was axed by the council).
Then of course, there is the matter of 52628 being a regular on X4 and X5, covering for the Profile's, and time spent off the road itself. Have to say, since the Jonck's were replaced by Profile's on X4 and X5 (now connecting with X50), 52628 has seemingly became much more reliable, and even seems a better performer, now it isn't being pushed hard all week every week, over 11 years.

A Scania has just been involved in a minor incident in Wigton, on a 300 to Carlisle. The bus has hit a cyclist, after the cyclist mis-understood the signalling from the bus (indicating into a bus stop, cyclist thought the bus was turning left). An elderly woman walking to the front of the bus at the time of heavy braking, fell over near the wheelchair space, ended up rolling to the front of the bus, smashing her head off the panelling next to cab door. Ambulance on its way. The cyclist has reportedly rode off from the accident. The driver is said to be shaken, naturally.

Whoops!!
Could come useful in cumbria,lol.
Surprise of the day goes to 20436 on 31, with its newly fitted Hanover Flip Dot!
16393 has fonally gone on loan then.
It's at Kendal to cover the OT Tridents while they go to LL for internal bike racks fitting.
Definitely looks like she'll be staying longer thenhaha. Terrible thing, but surprisingly reliable!
And, that marks the end of humble Bright Tech Matrix at Lillyhall.
How many SCNW depots are now left with bright tech blinds as ME withdrew 20133 last week from service?
