Is 22274 still plying its trade in the North West? This was named The Backstreet boys when based here in Fife.

Certainly looks quite good... for the benefit of the forum community heres a piccy attached, many have probally seen the pictures!
Also sounds intresting....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJgVxZBqxN0

If it takes off and orders are placed I would imagine a special livery for it, don't know if it could pull of the swoops
Anyone know if it will just stay with Merseyside specifically?

From what Gez said I'm guessing the Ecocity will do a tour of vaires depots which may include ME. It's with Gillmoss for 6 weeks then I think it'll move on!

Also I'm not sure whether the Ecocity will just be available with this bodywork or whether there are other options...

not stagecoach but might be intresting to some on here, 3d travel of whitehaven have started painting their busses in a smart new livery, about time they smartened them up, seen 2 of their ex stagecoach vario minibusses today on the 6 and 26 services in whitehaven, seen that one of them had new style lights fitted at the back, shame they haven't put proper destination blinds in them yet

As far as I am aware, 3D Travel only have 1 ex Stagecoach vehicle, P543 PNE. It is fitted with "proper destination blinds", it has front side and rear Hanover flip dots, its just 3D Travel don't have any method of programming them.
They tried having a livery a few years ago, when I was in Whitehaven 5 days a week, on their 2 709D's. Picture here. The livery never made it onto any of the "new" buses, they even sold off the old ones with the roller blinds in them, which they could have easily just put into the newer stuff.
In all honesty, they are a pathetic excuse of a company, and aren't fit to hold an operating license. I've heard JB Pickthall and his small team of mechanics had many arguments with 3D Travel's owner over the extremely poor and unsafe condition of his vehicles, to the extent where Pickthall refused to repair them incase large pieces fell off onto him. Fully understandable when 3D Travel tried to operate a coach with the entire back end being held together with rust.........

Back to Stagecoach.
6 long Darts and 3 mini Darts off service at Carlisle this morning, not sure how things really worked out.

All very well, but there are no Scottish fleets due for Scania E400s on the current order.

I'd assume therefore it's on the 2012/3 order?

Aye, the paint on 20128 has just been touched up at Carlisle ahead of it being stored until the Olympics...

Seems odd that they would bother to partly paint them. One because they still have a lot of sitting around to do and two because they should only be covering for a few weeks!

The changes to the 106 are awful as the first one out of Penrith now misses what used to be the connecting 104 from Carlisle. The council can never do anything right!
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Due to a series of brakedowns and traffic Carlisle went to pot today.

76 branded 34713 went onto the 69 this morning replacing a 51 reg Solo to allow it go replace one of the usual Buttermere Solo's in Keswick. It stayed on all day and is now on the 521 before doing a 66.

20960 replaced a defective Dart on the 67/68 circuit this morning while 61 branded 34695 is on thre now too.

33076 spent the day on the 38/66 and is now on the 600. 20959 is on the short 685.

20977 broke down on the Morecambe contract this morning and was replaced with 52629 eventually.

Carlisle are reallt struggling with reliabilty at the moment and seems to be getting worse as the week goes on. It's no use looking at what colour the branding is on the bus as they are having spells on all sorts which is very rare for Carlisle who are normally good keeping things normal.

A bit late now but 34700 went to Dumfries on the 379 last night.

Component recovery for 40033 I'd guess. Either that or M&SL are trying to consolidate their stored stuff (in which case 20858 should be heading down soon).

I believe there is an extra run for Preston College or something? Anyway, whatever it's for, Preston have taken over the running of one of the extras.

The inner recesses of my tortured mind.
It departed Chorley around 0750 ish (it was the bus behind me!) and displayed '125 Preston via Bamber Bridge' on the front.

There is normally a dupe around this time of day due to the large number of students travelling to Cardinal Newman College, but I saw one of our Darts heading back out of Preston empty as I was driving up London Road and it is normally that Dart that runs the dupe. Unless there are so many students that we now need two dupes!

I presume it's easier for an Inspector to be spare for a dupe, whereas a Driver would have specific diagrammed routes on his/her shift?

Preston are operating 2 dup's to cope with overloading by Newman College students, one of these uses a Scania that goes onto the 10.00 2X2. One of these has been registered as it only dup's part of the route ie does not dup the Bolton - Chorley section.

Hello all,

Preston-based 2X2-liveried Scania PX09 AWZ operated a trip on Chorley's 125 route this morning, driven by a Preston inspector. Not entirely sure why - any clues?
