Eugh, the white gap on the front looks like a hastily applied sticker! Not a fan of that at all...In case you haven’t seen it on SKM, here is the first non-open top trident in the local livery, SSE 18176 GX54 DVV
That actually doesn't look too bad, compared to a lot of other vehicles! That white patch on the front is awful, though...In case you haven’t seen it on SKM, here is the first non-open top trident in the local livery, SSE 18176 GX54 DVV
Why Stagecoach insist on repainting nearly end of life Tridents and Darts confuses me. This bus still has flipdots, and yet they've chosen to repaint it over an Enviro. In case you haven’t seen it on SKM, here is the first non-open top trident in the local livery, SSE 18176 GX54 DVV
I would guess that standardized repaint cycles are the major cause. Although I see your point, is it better to have newer vehicles retaining still-smart older paintwork and older vehicles proverbially flaking to bits, or better to repaint everything in x years as planned so regardless of colour, it always looks fairly smart? Why Stagecoach insist on repainting nearly end of life Tridents and Darts confuses me. It hasn't been fully confirmed yet but there is talk that the Stagecoach vehicle order is to resume in the new year and there are certainly quite a few "smart..." plans to get rid of quite a chunk of older stock.I also can't imagine many companies are looking to dispose of vehicles at present with increased requirements for school services/social distancing (with no end in sight), so if it needs doing, why not do it now rather than have it running around looking tatty for another 2-3 years?
That sounds fair, and we won't talk about ArrivaI would guess that standardized repaint cycles are the major cause. The neighbouring Arriva company, by contrast, still have a handful of vehicles in the first "scoop front" livery with 15 year-old route branding. (Three national liveries, two sapphire liveries, de-vinyled Max branding in an area that never had a max route, plain white, hybrid, council all-over ad... think that covers all the basics across a 100-vehicle depot, not including route branding variants, with at least two specialized liveries elsewhere)
That livery would be nice for the InterConnect services. Unfortunately the livery is specified by Lincolnshire County Council. And with thy power of paint.net, I have made a fictional InterConnect-based livery on a Volvo B5TL Wright Streetdeck. The bus, fleet nos. and and any of my fictional 'CountyConnect' branding does not exist.
Also i don't really think the trident look bad, the white needs a bit more 'flow' on the front
Oooo that’ll be interesting to seeNewcastle Stalyford ALX300 22348 has been repainted. First ALX300 to be repainted into the new standard.
AIUI the majority of "local brands" will be deprecated. Stagecoach Interconnect, Oxford Tube and the Lakes liveries are exceptions, I'm sure there are others though. Is the North Devon Wave brand being scrapped? I think some of the previously branded vehicles appear to have been repainted into the new local livery.
Yes you are correct, some have been repainted. It is the plan to remove the Wave brand from existence unfortunatelyIs the North Devon Wave brand being scrapped? I think some of the previously branded vehicles appear to have been repainted into the new local livery.
Do you have any pictures of 22348? I couldn't find any on Google Images.Oooo that’ll be interesting to see

Thank you so much, much appreciated. I'm wondering just now if Stagecoach Fife has gotten rid of thier Geminis. Would have been nice to have seen a Volvo Renown or a Liberator or a Crusader in the now current Livery. I think the current Livery suits the smaller Vehicles better such as the Solo SR. The Livery suits the Dennis Dart Plaxton Pointer so I think it would definitely suit a Crusader. On Flickr (not my photos)

I can't be the only one noticing how squint the front Stagecoach logo and fleet numbers are. The front is genuinely one of the worst looking ALX300s i have ever seen, the unnecessary "mascara" between the lights doesn't exactly help!On Flickr (not my photos)

You aren't. Triggered me too. The 2s in the fleetnumber are at different heights, the fleetname on the side is too close to the blue swoosh and the fleetname on the front looks like it was applied by a person wearing only one shoe.I can't be the only one noticing how squint the front Stagecoach logo and fleet numbers are. AFAIK only one bus (so far) is white panel-less : https://www.flickr.com/photos/18868...CVtWs-2izLih7-2ijSr6X-2hW18z9-2hbprg9-2hAcEamWhy don't they just put the logo on the blue panel at the front, rather than having an ugly white rectangle for it? It would improve the livery's appearance infinitely.
Yeah all of the Geminis have now left Scotland. I think some are still in service with Gillmoss depot in CheshireThank you so much, much appreciated. I'm wondering just now if Stagecoach Fife has gotten rid of thier Geminis.
I don't know if it's just me, but I really hate how the green cuts into the wheelarch like that... It's not even as if it makes it easier to paint any replaced skirt panels as the green goes onto it a little. Here in Gloucester we have another repaint, and that’s ex gold MAN Enviro 300 22745 (GX58MVJ)
I like that. All it would need is for there to be a variant of the Stagecoach logo that would sit on it, so Stagey in white and a thin white band round the beachball (or whatever they are calling it now)View attachment 86925
I did a quick 5-minute edit of the ALX300. Thoughts?
I’m not sure where this rumour comes from - it isn’t specified by the council at all, hence the 37 hasn’t ever used anything in InterConnect livery (I assume it’s still an IC route?), and neither has anything of Brylaine’s on the 5 or 7. Additionally, Norfolk Green never did either, although they did have some subtle route branding. That livery would be nice for the InterConnect services. Unfortunately the livery is specified by Lincolnshire County Council.
That looks quite good! As @Azzy49 mentioned the livery looks better on smaller vehicles. One improvement would be to paint the headlights and the panel between in white like the SC North East E300's.I wonder why the MAN Enviro 300 rear looks so similar to that of an Wright Eclipse Urban. Does anyone know if Stagecoach Highlands Wright Eclipse Urbans will be painted in the new current Livery or will be withdrawn?

What do we think of this? Stagecoach Manchester, I believe this to be the first Enviro 200 of this length to receive the Livery.
