19268 is still in full Magic Bus livery.

Indeed, it looks quite out of place to tell the truth.
I’m sure they’ll get it repainted quickly. Most of the public won’t care and it’s no different to when the Brookes Bus livered Tridents used to run around Torbay in the summer months.

I see another slightly surprising transfer has taken place - former Torbay resident 18118 WA04FOK has returned back to the South West from Reserve at Stagecoach South.

Summer service changes have been announced from 25 May, including the return of some seasonal services:
From 25 May 2025 we will be launching a number of enhancements and further simplification to the Torbay local bus network. Working in partnership with Torbay Council and funded by the Bus Service Improvement Plan funding from the Department for Transport, customers in Torbay will benefit from more frequent bus services.

Service 95 in Exmouth doubles in frequency for the peak summer season, whilst three North Devon timetables will see new Sunday services. Service 54 will commence operation between Plymouth and Bovisand, and in Dartmouth the summer Park & Ride times are announced. Service 122 also returns to Torbay with an open top bus for the summer season.

Changes to the Torbay network are summarised below:

Service 11 (Torquay to Dawlish Warren)

A new Service 11 is introduced, in connection to the below changes to Service 22. Service 11 will operate up to every 60 minutes between Torquay and Dawlish Warren via St Marychurch, Teignmouth and Dawlish.

Buses will follow the current 22 route from Torquay to Dawlish Warren, with the section of route between Teignmouth and Dawlish Warren operated with financial support from Devon County Council.

Where possible, departure times and hours of operation reflect the current 22 timetable.

Service 12 (Newton Abbot – Brixham via Torquay and Paignton)

The Monday to Friday off-peak frequency will increase from every 12 minutes to every 10 minutes, to coincide with the summer season.

Due to low customer demand, buses will no longer serve the Brixham Park and Ride site.

Service 12 will no longer serve the bus stop at Windy Corner on journeys towards Newton Abbot due to safety concerns.

There are number of minor timetable changes at the start and end of the operating day, with a small number of journeys withdrawn or curtailed.

As part of a trial period, new overnight journeys will operate every Saturday night (early hours of Sunday morning) until Saturday 20 December 2025

Service 17 (Brixham Local Service)

The 0755 Monday to Saturday journey from Lindthorpe Way Town Square and the 1830 Monday to Saturday journey from Town Square to King Street will be withdrawn due to low demand.

The presentation of the publicity timetable will change to be consistent across all days of operation.

Service 22 (St Marychurch – South Devon College via Paignton)

The frequency of buses will be increased Monday to Saturday daytime from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes, providing an additional journey opportunity every hour. The Sunday and Public Holiday frequency will become every 30 minutes along the entire route, which represents a doubling of frequency between South Devon College and Torquay. The evening timetable is improved, with an hourly frequency across the entire route and with later last buses, providing additional journey opportunities.

The route of Service 22 will be amended to operate between St Marychurch and South Devon College only to enable a more reliable and punctual service to operate. The section of route between Dawlish Warren and St Marychurch will be covered by new a Service 11 and other services.

Between Paignton and Torquay, buses will follow a more direct route via Torbay Road no longer serving Belgrave Road, Lucius Street and Union Street / Abbey Road. This will improve journey times for the majority of customers and combined with Service 12, provide up to 10 departures per hour along this routing between Paignton and Torquay.

The route will also change to no longer serve Borough Road, with the exception of three morning peak journeys, and operate a more direct route via Brixham Road.

Customers wishing to travel between St Marychurch and Belgrave Road, Lucius Street and Union Street / Abbey Road, will be able to catch the new Service 11 or change buses at Cary Parade for frequent onward connections with Services 31 and 35A/35C.

Intermediate running times are revised across all days of operation to improve reliability and punctuality.

As part of a trial period, new overnight journeys will operate every Saturday night (early hours of Sunday morning) until Saturday 20 December 2025

Service 23 (Paignton – South Devon College)

The frequency of Service 23 will increased to every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday and every 30 minutes Sunday and Public Holiday daytimes. This represents an additional journey opportunity every hour and every day of the week.

There will be a change to the route of Service 23 to serve the new Inglewood development, operating via current route to Goodrington Road and then Davies Avenue, Gibson Road, Hookhills Road, Hunters Tor Drive and Brixham Road to the new Inglewood development, before resuming current route at White Rock Way.

This route change means that two pairs of bus stops on Goodrington Road and Cherry Brook Drive will no longer be served by Service 23, however, alternative stops are available nearby.

Service 120 (Paignton – Kingswear)

Intermediate running times are revised across all days of operation to improve reliability and punctuality.

1610 Monday to Saturday journey from Kingswear to Paignton will be advanced to 1605.

A new Sunday and Public Holiday timetable will be introduced, provide a number of new journey opportunities, including access to and from Dartmouth via the ferry at Kingswear.

The timetable will offer 8 journeys in each direction covering the main part of the day.

Service 122 (Hoburne Devon Bay Holiday Park – Paignton)

Service 122 will return for the 2025 season, operating a daily timetable between Sunday 25 May 2025 and Saturday 30 August 2025.

Buses will operate every 30 minutes between approximately 0930 and 1830, with a small break in the timetable in the middle of the day. Customers will be able to travel from Hoburne Devon Bay Holiday Park into Paignton Bus Station, where connections to other services across Torbay will be available.

Service FOX

Service FOX will become known as Service 24. To better match customer demand, the frequency of buses Monday to daytime will be reduced slightly from every 15 minutes to every 20 minutes. During the evening buses will continue to operate every 60 minutes and every 30 minutes during the day on Sunday and Public Holidays.
In North Devon

Service 21C (Barnstaple to Croyde Bay / Georgeham via Braunton)

Intermediate running times are revised on all days of operation to improve reliability and punctuality.

Between 27 May 2025 and 19 September 2025 a revised Monday to Friday and Saturday timetable will operate, with four additional round trips between Barnstaple and Georgeham, which will not serve Croyde Bay.

The Sunday and Public Holiday timetable resumes from 25 May 2025, providing an hourly frequency throughout the main part of the day.

These journeys will operate between 25 May 2025 and 14 September 2025 inclusive.

Service 31 (Ilfracombe to Woolacombe – Mortehoe Circular)

Following a tender round by Devon County Council, Stagecoach will operate the Sunday and Public Holiday timetable on Service 31 between Ilfracombe and Woolacombe via Morthoe.

Service 31 will operate 8 journeys each Sunday and Public Holiday between 25 May 2025 and 14 September 2025 inclusive.

Service 301 (Barnstaple to Combe Martin)

A new Sunday and Public Holiday timetable will be introduced with departures from Barnstaple Bus Station at 0845, 1145 and 1545 and with departures from Combe Martin at 1005, 1305 and 1705.

These journeys will operate between 25 May 2025 and 14 September 2025 inclusive.

In South Devon

Service 91 (Dartmouth Park and Ride)

Between Friday 16 May 2025 and Sunday 18 May 2025 inclusive a 20 minute frequency will operate in connection with the Dartmouth Music Festival, which will include an evening timetable until 2250 (Friday and Saturday) and 2150 (Sunday).

Between Saturday 24 May 2025 and Sunday 1 June 2025 inclusive a 10 minute frequency will operate.

Between Monday 2 June 2025 and Sunday 27 July 2025 inclusive a 20 minute frequency will operate.

Between Monday 28 July 2025 and Sunday 31 August 2025 inclusive a 10 minute frequency will operate, however, there will be additional capacity provided on Wednesday 27 August 2025 and Saturday 30 August 2025 inclusive, as well as late evening journeys on Saturday 30 August 2025, in connection with the Dartmouth Regatta.

Service 92 (Dartmouth to Totnes)

Additional short journeys between Dartmouth Pontoon and Dartmouth Park and Ride will not operate after operation on Friday 24 May 2025.

Beyond this date, Service 91 (Dartmouth Park and Ride) will operate and provide a frequent alternative.

In Plymouth

Service 54 (Plymouth to Bovisand)

Following a tender award by Plymouth City Council, Service 54 will return for the 2025 season.

Service 54 will provide 8 return journeys per day between Plymouth City Centre and Bovisand via Plymstock, leaving Plymouth every hour between 1000 and 1800 and leaving Bovisand every hour between 1028 and 1828.

Service 54 will operate from Saturday 24 May 2025 until Sunday 1 June 2025 inclusive and then again from Saturday 26 July 2025 until Sunday 31 August 2025 inclusive.

In Exmouth

Service 95 (Exmouth – Sandy Bay)

From Sunday 25 May 2025 until Saturday 30 August 2025 inclusive, the frequency of Service 95 will be doubled from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes for the majority of the day.

Good to see some seasonal services returning but also disappointing regarding the FOX.

Stagecoach have won contract to operate all Cornwall college contracts from September off First Kernow.

They have also won all Callywith college contracts from same date off Plymouth citybus.

Truro and Penwith results are due soon, I wonder if they can make it a hatrick? Either way this certainly gives them a larger presence in Cornwall!

For sure. It crosses my mind that they could consider an outstation somewhere in Cornwall to operate the contracts from because I doubt that running empty from Plymouth would make the routes sustainable for long. I also wonder then if they might look to take on other routes in the county.

I wonder if they are getting ready to bid for the Cornwall council network when it comes up in 2027. I could see a repeat of Plymouth from 10 years ago where Stagecoach buy out depots from First and take on what routes they feel work for them commercially
