Finsbury Park station was near to the former Finsbury Park TMD; Stratford International station used to be the site of Stratford TMD.

Although the Settle to Carlisle Line officially begins at Settle, many of the trains on the route begin at Leeds. The first station on the route after Settle is Horton-in-Ribblesdale.

Lazonby and Kirkoswald station was designed by John Holloway Stephens, the Midland Railway Company's Architect; he was also responsible for Dore and Totley station.

Chessington North station was also designed by the Southern Railway Architect James Robb Scott and opened on 28 May 1939.

Perranwell is also a single platform station on the Maritime Line between Truro and Falmouth Docks.

Penryn station was host to a GWR Camping Coach between 1934 and 1938; Borth was another station which had one during the same period.
