There are a number of other stations that aren't owned by Network Rail, for example Warwick Parkway. But that probably justifies its own thread (if there isn't already one).
This is my take on stations not owned by Network Rail. The greater number are Transport for Wales property, part of the Core Valley Lines, but there are lots of others, too.

Aylesbury and Coleshill are owned by companies specifically to own the station and named obviously describing what they are for. Their Companies House entry gives more details.
The Crossrail core station ownership is unclear to me at present.

I believe Crossrail core stations are owned by Rail for London Infrastructure (RfLI), though most are managed by LUL, albeit with MTR staff on the Crossrail platforms/part of the station.

Thanks. Further investigation suggests that just Paddington, Canary Wharf, Custom House and Woolwich Crossrail stations are RfLI property (the ones managed by MTR). The others (managed by London Underground) are presumably LU property.

That’s correct. Of the central operating section, Bond St to Whitechapel inclusive are London Underground and the rest are RfLI. As @JaJaWa put it to me, LU are responsible for the “round” stations and RfLI deal with the more boxy ones.

Unfortunately there is no consistency between Infrastructure Managers, for instance RfLI are the Infrastructure Manager for Maryland to Brentwood inclusive, but all of the western stations remain with Network Rail (except for the 3 Heathrow stations obviously).

RfLI are the Infrastructure Manager for Maryland to Brentwood inclusive
For clarity, does that mean:
  • Network Rail has 'sold' (for any or no monetary consideration) its station assets to RfLI; or
  • Network Rail has leased its assets to RfLI; or
  • RfLI acts as NR's agent, making decisions on its behalf; or
  • something else?
(if indeed you or anyone actually knows!)

I believe (happy to be corrected) that the railway assets are all Network Rail's property, at least for any part inside the railway boundary fence. Lots of other stations have bits outside the boundary that could well belong to the local authority (for example), e.g. station forecourt areas.
