Two lower quadrant signals, one being the home and the other being a distant for the next signal on one post. Can't think of anything strange. Could it be that they are British styled but are in New Zealand? Not a big 'buff' about New Zealand railways...

They look rather old, so perhaps sometime in there existance, the lamps were removed.... perhaps the railway only runs a daytime service? - and it never gets foggy...?
