Hmmm...Now if ye were catching a bus and saw this gentleman sat behind the wheel, would ye get on or wait for the next one?...:lol:<D

I'd get on....yo look a lot better than some of our drivers, and you'd probably get me to where I want to go in a reasonable time as well.

BTW, feel free to post up any pics of me from Saturday.

Someone went down town on Sunday then Death ;) Is this 'Stagecoach Goldline' upgraded service as good as the publicity makes out? Apparently the buses all have "hand stitched Italian leather seats" :|

Edit: Oh - just noticed your post elsewhere

Go on http://www.stagecoachgoldline.com and click on 'routes & timetables'. The picture of the gold bus on the right is what they are. There were four parked up at mine and Death's local town centre for the launch of the 'Goldline' upgrade of Stagecoach Hants & Surrey's route 1.

Edit: They looked the same as this.

Nope. Wright bodies on the Enviro/trident chassis.
Remember the controversy when Preston Bus took on some leather seated B7Ls (I think)?

Anyways, Wright is as good as you can get for bus bodies!

Then take them home and wash them!

I have several sets for exactly that reason. One for national network stuff that doesn't come out that often, one decent looking set for not too mucky jobs and one set that looks it came out of a mud bath for digging and such.

60 degrees wash with 2 different detergents will do the trick.

It'd be very nice if it did! <D
Although having said that, the speedo does register up to 125mph...And given that they've each got 7l of grunt in them, I'd guess that one of those beasts might be able to break the ton with the limiter off and as little load as possible - Not bad for a ten tonner! :shock:8)

Even more amusing though: After trying out the hot-seat for myself, a lady with a young son came in and let her child try the seat as well. I was pleasantly surprised to hear the child say "Wow...This bus can do 6000mph!", and it took me a second to realise that he'd actually been looking at the rev counter and not the speedo!:D

Don't me asking, but was bus did you cab? <D
Hmmm...Looking at thy words, were ye a little tipsy when ye posted that Brandon? ;)

I don't notice fleet numbers, so I can't really say if that's what ye are asking. As for the buses themselves; All I really know is that they're MAN jobs, built in Germany, and use a MAN chassis with (I seem to recall) a MAN engine. I can't say who did the bodywork and the interior. :)

Oh I do love the beard... :D:D
Cheers man! It's a pity that such things are a relatively rare find, nowadays... :|

And that's a point: I wonder if there's still an opening over at Salop?
(GhostCav'll know what I'm talking about here! <D )

Are you sure your not Female? ;)

Fancy popping around mine and doing all my washing?

Yes Chaz. I am fairly sure that I am not female.

I am however very sure that I've amassed quite a quantity of hi vis clothing and that it takes effort for me to replace it and therefore I've learned how to clean it now and then!
