I recall that during the Christmas holidays (two or three years ago) that you could buy Superoffpeak tickets for use between Cambridge and London.

Looking at the National Rail planner it seems that's no longer the case and it's not happening this year. Can someone confirm whether I have missed something?

Super Off Peak tickets between Cambridge and London are only available at weekends and bank holidays.

It looks like 2015 (or earlier) was the last time restriction FB fares were extended beyond Sat/Sun/Bank Holiday for Christmas.

This thread from 2016 might ring a bell ...

There was no extension of super off peak fares in 2016.

Christmas Day in 2015 fell on a Friday so Monday 27th was a Bank Holiday in lieu of Boxing Day
Christmas Day in 2016 fell on a Sunday so Tuesday 27th was a Bank Holiday

Christmas Day in 2018 is a Tuesday so Thursday 27th is a normal working day. Super Off Peak tickets won't be valid but GTR might relax evening peak restrictions.
