Yesterday I travelled on consecutive Windsor, Weybridge and Reading services. All 458s. It's like they're have a final flurry on the Windsor Lines.

RTT reports 455866 on 5B39 to Bournemouth yesterday;

No report for 5Y51, so I cannot answer the 458 question. But 458502+458511 went to Bournemouth in October and 458509+458519 went in May, so likely candidates?
458511 was back in passenger service this morning (12/12) on 2R07 which answers the question as to which 458 returned from Bournemouth last week.

Happy New Year to all and as it is 01/01, it is time for me to post an update of the list of 458 & 455 that I have not recorded working in passenger service for over a month. But, as no one else has posted to this thread since my posts of 06/12 & 12/12, RUK may auto-merge this post with those two. This is the last date that I have noticed them appear on a passenger train on RTT. This date is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate. This is especially true this month with the current reduced timetable which features many VSTP alterations being repeated daily. The train formations for a significant proportion of these VSTP altered trains do not appear on "Know Your Train", so some active units will be missed.

Thank you for that information. If I had waited a few hours before posting my update this morning I could have added;
458502 has returned to passenger service today (2Z59), after a 3 month absence.
455732 is in passenger service today (02/01/23) on 2H20.

Today is 01/02/23, so it is time for me to post an update of the list of 458 & 455 that I have not recorded working in passenger service for over a month. 8536 is now in for a wheelset change.
5849/5719 on 5B39 to Bournemouth. Both are less than 1,000 miles to C4. 325/900 respectively. 106 miles to BM!

Needs wheelsets, which aren’t the scope of C6 overhaul. It joins a long queue with a long lead time.

Hi all,
I've finally found my way to this thread, and I've just checked my wants list for the 455s. The honourable gentleman that is @Siemens Staines mentions in his recent update post that the list does not include off-lease/scrapped members of the 455s, and I see 740 and 855 are in that list.
Clearly I'm very out of touch with all things SWR, so my question is this:
Are 740 and 855 both scrapped? If so I will have to take them off my list and strike through them in my book.
I hope to pop by SW London on Wednesday to have a bit of red penning, this would appear to be basically my last chance to have a farewell to the 455s. I'm just not in London often enough to do so, and usually when I am it's more about positioning moves/tourism/active travel.
I post below a copy-paste from my wants list of the 455s and 458s, if anyone could kindly provide me with knowledge on which ones I'm not likely to find that would be appreciated

As indicated by WarrenTManager above, 458536 has returned to passenger use today 12/02 (1U17).
455723 is back in passenger service today (16/02) on 2J14

Are the Wikipedia pages up to date on the 455s and 458s that are in service? If not, is there an updated list somewhere?

I try my best, but anything not listed in my monthly summary #1301 above, (& susbequent updates) has been in service within the past month. Obviously experts such as WarrenTManager are going to have detailed knowledge that I am not privvy to.
It looks like 458519 is on its way back home
