Has anybody had delays with contactless getting through to their bank accounts? I made a contactless journey on Thursday and there was no sign of it in my bank account yesterday evening, they normally show as pending debits the following day.
I don't think so. All the readers are connected to TfL. They may be delaying submissions in case further touches come though.Thanks. Thinking about it it was an SWR journey (Earlsfield to Clapham Junction). Maybe there is another layer in passing the charge onto TFL which takes longer?
Now you mention it, yes I’ve noticed that in some, but not all, cases it’s taken a day or so longer for the transaction to show up on my account.Has anybody had delays with contactless getting through to their bank accounts? Interesting - because last time I looked, a week ago, that was also showing unavailable...Elizabeth line never went down as that relies on NR open data rather than Trackernet.
All the archived data is there which heavily implies it was all online. Perhaps you misread a line disruption message for the data being unavailable?Interesting - because last time I looked, a week ago, that was also showing unavailable...
Possibly... I've generally been scrolling down the whole list to see if any part of it was back roughly once a week since this disruption started. Would be easy enough to cross-read I think...?All the archived data is there which heavily implies it was all online. Perhaps you misread a line disruption message for the data being unavailable?
I suspect they just wanted to put an end date and it will keep getting extended until things get sorted. No good for new applicants of course.Saw a poster at Warren Street saying children with expired Zip cards can be allowed through barriers until the end of the month. I wonder if that means they plan to have photocard applications (or at least maybe just applications for zip cards) restored by then?
Very possible, yeah. It's just interesting as it's only Zip cards that are mentioned.I suspect they just wanted to put an end date and it will keep getting extended until things get sorted. No good for new applicants of course.
It's because they're tied to the school year and therefore all expired on the same day. Also applications for new Freedom Passes are still open, as they're hybrid ITSO/Oyster cards issued by the councils rather than TfL.Very possible, yeah. What about 60+ Oyster card or renewals of those? I assume that is TfL.It's because they're tied to the school year and therefore all expired on the same day. Also applications for new Freedom Passes are still open, as they're hybrid ITSO/Oyster cards issued by the councils rather than TfL.
They never get renewed since the expiry date is always the day being FP eligibility starts, so like the Zip cards it's new applications that are stuck without any solution. What about 60+ Oyster card or renewals of those? I assume that is TfL.

That's good news. The most significant internal business programmes came back into largely full use yesterday, so I suspect that other things will start to move forwards soon also.
There are still a few operational railway applications offline, though, as well as restrictions on the use of many others. Some apps can only be accessed from an internal location, whilst others can only be accessed externally, which is naturally hampering some levels of progress.
I've managed to switched e-mail addresses for same organisations when I lost account access but for one company all I could do was delete my account and start again. I chose not to do that.Well I may have some fun if this lasts longer than another month. My old email provider has decided to close my email account in 30 days. I'm sure some of my TfL accounts use that and it could be difficult changing them if the old email is no longer available.
Can you set up email forwarding? I did this from my university email account and it forwards to a new gmail account I set up. It would mean that if you needed to send something to your old email it should come through to whichever account you designate. I'm not sure which email provider you have and whether they have this option (the account I did this through was an outlook account), but just thought in case it's possible might be worth a look.Well I may have some fun if this lasts longer than another month. I can, but only until Virgin pull the plug. After that date emails won't get through. They have decided that people who no longer use their broadband services can no longer keep their old email addresses either. It's been decades, so I can't really complain that much. Can you set up email forwarding?

I'm in the same position with a disappearing Virgin account that my Oyster was assigned to. However, this afternoon I've managed to get in and update my TfL account to a new email address, so you may find that yours is working now as well.I can, but only until Virgin pull the plug. One of the most important parts of that news report was at the end. Like a lot of media organisations, they put useful things at the end.![]()
London students fear abandoning courses over inability to apply for discounted fares
System for applying for travelcards yet to be restored after cyber-attack on Transport for London’s IT systemstheguardian.com
what a mess. I’m sure these things are very complex but it does seem to be taking a long time to fix - and possibly not down by Christmas! Issuing refunds is going to be a bit of a nightmare.
it usually pays to read the end of a news report.A spokesperson said: “Once the photocard website is back up and running and you have successfully applied for a new Oyster photocard, you will be able to request a refund for any additional travel costs you have incurred.”
