Has anybody had delays with contactless getting through to their bank accounts? I made a contactless journey on Thursday and there was no sign of it in my bank account yesterday evening, they normally show as pending debits the following day.

Nowhere near enough to a Pacer :(
I've had issues on buses. A couple of weeks ago, I made a trip from borum wood Station to Hayes town via the 107, the 186 and the x140 sorry sl9 3 weeks ago and they took over a week to charge me the 4 lb something I owed them

Thanks. Thinking about it it was an SWR journey (Earlsfield to Clapham Junction). Maybe there is another layer in passing the charge onto TFL which takes longer?

I don't think so. All the readers are connected to TfL. They may be delaying submissions in case further touches come though.

Now you mention it, yes I’ve noticed that in some, but not all, cases it’s taken a day or so longer for the transaction to show up on my account.

Whilst I’m here, with not being able to check your journey history and how much you’ve been charged, for straightforward days when I’ve made, say, two bus journeys it’s fine, for other journeys including trains I’ve resorted to using the single fare finder to work out how much they should be taking.

Also in some instances I get the bus, then if I’ve forgotten or am not sure I’ll check todays travel to see what time I tapped in and how long I’ve got to get another bus if I want a hoppa fare. Can’t do that at the moment so I’m trying to remember to check and make a mental note of what time I tapped in on the first bus.

In the last couple of days, Intertube has started showing Elizabeth Line information again although details for all the actual Underground lines are still unavailable.

All the archived data is there which heavily implies it was all online. Perhaps you misread a line disruption message for the data being unavailable?
Possibly... I've generally been scrolling down the whole list to see if any part of it was back roughly once a week since this disruption started. Would be easy enough to cross-read I think...?

It may well have been that Intertube used a TfL EL feed and has now been changed, of course.

Elizabeth line has always been from NR data on Intertube. I haven't seen it go down since the start of the cyber attack.

Saw a poster at Warren Street saying children with expired Zip cards can be allowed through barriers until the end of the month. I wonder if that means they plan to have photocard applications (or at least maybe just applications for zip cards) restored by then?

I suspect they just wanted to put an end date and it will keep getting extended until things get sorted. No good for new applicants of course.

Very possible, yeah. It's just interesting as it's only Zip cards that are mentioned.

It's because they're tied to the school year and therefore all expired on the same day. Also applications for new Freedom Passes are still open, as they're hybrid ITSO/Oyster cards issued by the councils rather than TfL.

What about 60+ Oyster card or renewals of those? I assume that is TfL.

They never get renewed since the expiry date is always the day being FP eligibility starts, so like the Zip cards it's new applications that are stuck without any solution.

The most significant internal business programmes came back into largely full use yesterday, so I suspect that other things will start to move forwards soon also.

There are still a few operational railway applications offline, though, as well as restrictions on the use of many others. Some apps can only be accessed from an internal location, whilst others can only be accessed externally, which is naturally hampering some levels of progress.

Well I may have some fun if this lasts longer than another month. My old email provider has decided to close my email account in 30 days. I'm sure some of my TfL accounts use that and it could be difficult changing them if the old email is no longer available.

That's good news.

I've managed to switched e-mail addresses for same organisations when I lost account access but for one company all I could do was delete my account and start again. I chose not to do that.

I guess you might be unlucky enough to find out which camp TfL sit in.

Can you set up email forwarding? I did this from my university email account and it forwards to a new gmail account I set up. It would mean that if you needed to send something to your old email it should come through to whichever account you designate. I'm not sure which email provider you have and whether they have this option (the account I did this through was an outlook account), but just thought in case it's possible might be worth a look.

I can, but only until Virgin pull the plug. After that date emails won't get through. They have decided that people who no longer use their broadband services can no longer keep their old email addresses either. It's been decades, so I can't really complain that much.

Just had a flurry of emails from the TfL contactless card system about my card expiring so looks like things may be on the move

I'm in the same position with a disappearing Virgin account that my Oyster was assigned to. However, this afternoon I've managed to get in and update my TfL account to a new email address, so you may find that yours is working now as well.

what a mess. I’m sure these things are very complex but it does seem to be taking a long time to fix - and possibly not down by Christmas! Issuing refunds is going to be a bit of a nightmare.
One of the most important parts of that news report was at the end. Like a lot of media organisations, they put useful things at the end.
A spokesperson said: “Once the photocard website is back up and running and you have successfully applied for a new Oyster photocard, you will be able to request a refund for any additional travel costs you have incurred.”
it usually pays to read the end of a news report.

Clearly TfL needed to do more previously, including communications with staff around refunds. Hopefully staff are now suitably informed.

I wonder how many people won't get around to apply for refunds?
