Basically unfortunate set of circumstances. As posted by someone else, 12 car 387 running only got the ok during the day hence why some trains were only 8 instead of 12 as the May timetable sees two 12 car 387s.

Ah - thanks for the information.

Unplanned.

Both my trains today were short formed 8v12, meaning I didn't get on either of them.

The 12 car trains are unsurprisingly the heaviest loading - 1300 on one of them - averaging 1200+/- , there are a good number of basket case 8 car trains approaching the 900 mark - even/ especially on the Catford loop.

Last night at Blackfriars..

1740 Bedford cancelled
1746 St Albans slow - 4 cars
1752 Bedford 8 x 387 vice 12

16 vehicles worth missing in 12 mins (assuming the SAC was booked 8 vehicles)

That explains the rugby scrum I got caught up in at Farringdon last night. Difficult to get off the 17.52 Bedford, and impossible for some to get on at all.

Anyone know the diagrams for Haywards heath in the morning peak from 6am
Is there a note anywhere of which ones are 377 / 387 and how many carriages

Going off memory it should be the first train off Brighton is a 8 car 377 then around eight 387 departures including 12 car workings.

With the removal of the 0656 Brighton - Victoria Gat-Ex (south of Gatwick) as of yesterday, are there any plans to increase the 0657 Brighton - Bedford to a 12 car as soon as stock is available?

This train was always full by Haywards Heath anyway, so with the Gat-Ex now not running, I imagine it's now horrendously overcrowded.

Thanks

My usual 8 car 387 18:27 from City TL to Redhill was an 8 car 377 instead yesterday.

Was this a result of the unplanned changes or a timetable change?

Are there a lot more 8 car 377's running around after the timetable change?

Planned 8 car 377 (train before it is a 12 car 377 and another 8 car 377 afterwards).

Theres four 12 a day now booked, two are 377 and two are 387s compared to all for being 377 prior to the timetable change.

Yes there will be more 8 car 377s as the former two 12 car units can be used on three 8 car diagrams.
