Took some research that last clue! Dewsbury?

You aren't far away, you can get a train to Dewsbury from here.

1/ This station is North of Birmingham
2/ This station has 2 platforms.
3/ This station is only served by Northern
4/ This stations is unstaffed but the old ticket office is now a pub run by enthusiasts.
5/ This station burnt down in 1978 and most of the buildings had to be demolished resulting in the new drab looking canopies you see today which replaced the old buildings in 1981

Sowerby Bridge ?

Dewsbury fails clue 3 anyway !

Indeed it is Sowerby Bridge, I ran out of clues to give but a great little bit of Trivia to do with Sowerby Bridge could have been clue 6

6/ The brother of Charlotte, Emily and Anne Bronte , Branwell was assistant clerk in charge at Sowerby Bridge when it opened.
