As I expected, buses have retired for the evening (well, at about 6pm), so we board the 2331 Northern service 2T36 to Leeds, arriving there at 2355 on Thursday evening.

Surprisingly it appears to be our first time at Leeds station since I started logging stations at the start of April.

We take the 0009 Transpennine Express service to Manchester Victoria arriving there at 0118 in the early hours of Friday morning (apologies for the Manchester move again but options limited late at night and plenty of onward options from here even if it means waiting until dawn).

With no bus stops within half a mile (actually with what seems like no Saturday bus services in this part of North Lincolnshire) we await 2F85, East Midlands Railway's 0929 train to New Holland, where we arrive at 0937 on Saturday.

We would gain nothing by sitting and waiting for the next eastbound train, as we can still pick it up by going back to New Holland if we feel so minded...

LincsBus Call Connect Caistor serves Barnetby-le-Wold, with Barnetby railway station being in the Caistor demand-responsive area. Having pre-registered, we book a seat. Bustimes tells us it (service 53C, apparently) has a nominal 22 minute journey to Caistor. Assuming the nearest available vehicle takes 15 minutes to reach us (why not!?) we wait for it to arrive at approx. 1232, and it drops us off in Caistor, Butter Market at approx. 1255 on Saturday.
