We then board the 2315 First Worcester service 30 to Dines Green (Grenville Road), arriving there at 2325 on Wednesday evening.

EDIT: doesn't run on Wednesday, only FO and SO.

QUERY RAISED

Is it not the case that this late service only runs on Friday and Saturday nights?

So it is. I think it's because I had the timetable set to today (Friday), so assumed it was the same for Wednesday.

Instead, we board the 2315 First Worcester service 44 to Great Malvern (Church Street), which I believe runs on Wednesday and arrives there at 2345.

There doesn't appear to be anything else to do, so we choose to rest overnight.

In the morning, we walk the 10 minutes to the railway station, where we board the 05:17 Great Western Railway service to Oxford, arriving there at 06:51 on a Thursday.

That appears to be the last service of the day, so we take advantage of the overnight travel relaxation rule and board the 0600 First Manchester service 348 to Cockbrook (Bus stop C on Stamford Street) that arrives there at 0621 on Friday morning.

Noting that last service to Talbot Road is something of a rarity according to the TfGM information sheet, we are fortunate to be in an allowable walking distance to continue our journey, so we take the ten minute walk from there to the Market Hall on High Street West where we board the 0853 Stagecoach Manchester service 236 to Bardsley Gate (the bus stop opposite the Dog and Partridge on Mottram Road) that arrives there at 0916 on Friday morning.
