I think the next bus at St Bees is in January 2022; I had a peek after I posted it and then regretted it!!!

We now walk the 3 minutes to the Magistrates Courts, stop S, and board Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire service 6 at 0953, alighting at Bowness-on-Windermere (o/s Bowness Pier) at 1050 on Monday

We were just at this location a mere three moves ago, were there not any other places available? :)

We cross over and walk the short distance to the stop at The Garage, where we board the 1457 service 516. Conscious that most of the extremity of this route is served by no other services, but wanting to see the fantastic scenery, we take it to its terminus in the Langdale Valley at the Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel where we arrive at 1546 on Monday.

Old Dungeon! Intriguing!

We next board the 1601 Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire service 516 to Kendal (Bus Station), arriving there at 1707 on Monday afternoon.

Looking at its website there is no mention of it having been a dungeon, just a farm! Strange...

Let's wander over to Stand C at the bus station and board Stagecoach C&NL service X6 towards Barrow, alighting at Grange-over-Sands (Rail Station) at 1752 on Monday.

We next board the 1830 Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire service X6 to Ulverston (Library on Victoria Road) that arrives there at 1859 on Monday evening

NOTE....You pipped me at the post as I too had intended to use the service in the above posting above of yours (which incidentally departed at 1715 from Kendal bus station...not shown in your posting) through to Ulverston library, so this posting continues that intended journey on the next bus service.

Bus choice is getting limited now without repeating ourselves, so lets walk to the railway station (7 min / 0.3 mile) and await 1P90, Northern's 1913 service towards Preston. We alight at Lancaster at 1955 on Monday.

The last bus of the day has gone, so we await the last train of the day - 2H84, Northern's 2157 service, which we take to it's destination of Skipton, arriving at 2244 on Monday.

This connects perfectly with the last train of the day from Skipton. We take this 2249 Northern service (2H79) to Keighley, arriving at 2303 on Monday evening.

Let's walk to the bus station (6 min, 0.3 miles) and board the last bus of the day in Keighley, The Keighley Bus Company's service K3 at 2316 from stand B. We alight at Braithwaite (Coronation Way / Whinfield Drive) at 2325 on Monday.

As I was pipped to the post earlier (never got round to making a new post), and on the basis that this area is only served by the same route, we have no choice but to return in the morning on the 0644 Keighley Bus Company Keighley Jets service K3 to Keighley (Bus Station)*, arriving there at 0655 on Tuesday morning.

* This route serves nowhere other than a loop around Braithwaite.

We then board the 0930 Transdev Burnley & Pendle The Witchway service X43 to Prestwich (Longfield Centre), arriving there at 1017 on Tuesday morning.
