We now take dinner to sustain us for the next onward journey and we then board the 1854 XC service to Aberdeen that arrives there at 2043 on Sunday night

We sleep in a hotel overnight, wake up early and buy quite a bit to eat and drink as we're boarding the 0820 XC service to (yes, you guessed it) Penzance arriving 2142 Monday night

We find a local restaurant where we order a light meal then we go to the bus station (just across the way from the railway station) where we board the 2235 First Devon & Cornwall service 17 B to St Ives (Malakoff) that arrives there at 2311 on Monday night

After a well deserved sleep after our epic journey down here we stay in St Ives until lunchtime enjoying the sun and sea before going back to Malakoff and boarding the 1203 First Devon & Cornwall Service 14 to Redruth Station arriving 1303 Monday afternoon

It is time for another rail journey so we enter that station and find there is not many minutes to wait until we board the 1321 FGW service to Plymouth that arrives there at 1451 on Monday afternoon.

We catch the 1550 bus (First no 93) from Bretonside to Dartmouth Pontoon, arriving at 1704, Monday

We grab a coffee from the kiosk while we await for the 1523 XC service to Burton-On-Trent arriving 1925 Monday evening

We catch the 1550 bus (First no 93) from Bretonside to Dartmouth Pontoon, arriving at 1704, Monday

Half an hour to see the nautical sights then we board the 1735 First Devon and Cornwall service X81 to Totnes (Station Approach) that arrives at 1813 on Monday afternoon.

Having miraculously been spared the rigours of a 5 minute ferry trip, we decide to head north on 1he 1850 XC service, arriving in Cheltenham Spa at 2117, Monday evening

Time for a good hearty evening meal in one of the many restaurants to choose from, then we return to the railway station and board the 2258 XC service to Birmingham New Street that arrives there at 0001 in the extremely early hours of Tuesday morning.

We grab a few hours sleep before we return to New Street to catch the 0529 Virgin Trains service to Milton Keynes Central arriving Tuesday morning at 0623

We now look to joining the early morning commuters on a service with many scheduled stops, so we board the 0701 Southern service to East Croydon that eventually arrives there at 0904 on Tuesday morning.

We just miss the 0904, so catch the X26 bus at 0932 and get off at Hatton Cross at 1054, Tuesday morning

A journey on the London Underground attracts us, so we make our way to the underground station and board the 1106 Piccadilly Line service to Cockfosters underground station that arrives there at 1229 on Tuesday afternoon.

We continue on the 384 bus, a Metroline this time, departing at 1231 and arriving at High Barnet station at 1301, Tuesday

This arrival time gives us an opportunity to make a long London Underground journey with making a change, so we enter the underground station and board the 1320 Northern Line service to Morden underground station that arrives at 1435 on Tuesday afternoon.

We stroll to the Morden Road tram stop and get the 3 (First Tram Operations) leaving at 1504 and riding to the end of the line at New Addington, arriving 1545, Tuesday afternoon

Walk to New Addington/Salcot Crescent bus stop D and catch the 314 to Eltham Station at 16.13 arriving at 17.29 operated by Stagecoah London

We catch the 1734 SE train to Dartford, arriving 1754 Tuesday evening

We head eastwards on the next leg as we board the 1822 SE service to Chatham that arrives there at 1853 on Tuesday evening.

We then take the Arriva 101 bus at 1903 from stop C to Maidstone Chequers bus station, arriving 1926, Tuesday evening

We decide to stay with bus travel from the bus station and we board the 1957 Arriva Kent & Sussex service 12 to Headcorn railway station approach that arrives there at 2025 on Tuesday evening.

Then catch the 20.43 South Eastern service to Ramsgate arriving at 21.47

We then catch the 2205 SET to London Victoria, arriving at 0009, Wednesday

Then we grab a stanby ticket on the National Express 420 service leaving London Victoria Coach Station at 00.30 to Birmingham Coach Station arriving at 03.35 Wednesday morning

We make our weary way to New Street Station and catch the 0604 XC service to Brockenhurst, arriving at 0859 Wednesday morning

Excellent timekeeping on that last service means that we have not to rush to the correct platform to board the 0915 SWT service to London Waterloo that arrives there at 1049 on Wednesday morning.

We decide to get ourselves a coffee from one of the many outlets in the station before we head to the underground and board the 1103 Jubilee Line service to its eastern terminus Stratford arriving 1125 Wednesday morning

We catch the National Express A9 service at 11.40 to Stansted Airport, arriving at 1225, Wednesday

Having used the London Underground and a coach on the last two legs, we decide to make rail our next option, so after an early lunch, we board the 1327 XC service to Nuneaton that arrives at 1607 on Wednesday afternoon.
