Time for a hot drink and a Mars Bar to keep us going, then we board the 1138 FirstScotRail service to Motherwell, that arrives at 1211 on Tuesday afternoon.

Deciding on a return to somewhere larger, we board to 1335 First ScotRail service to Glasgow Queen Street, arriving there at 1356 on Tuesday afternoon.

We'll take bus route 72 from Buchanan bus station (I assume the foot connection is permitted), departing 14:30 to Lenzie station arriving 15:08

That bus ride made a welcome change and as it is only mid-afternoon, we enter the railway station at Lenzie and board the 1530 First ScotRail service to Stirling that arrives at 1600 on Tuesday afternoon.

Stirling is a lovely place to visit, and after having enjoyed it, we then continue northwards on 1S15, the 1719 East Coast service to Inverness, which arrives at 2011 on Tuesday evening.

Time to take on refreshments to sustain us for our next journey to another large place in North-East Scotland and we board the 2120 First ScotRail service to Aberdeen that arrives just before "the witching hour" at 2339 on Tuesday night.

After viewing the witching tour we sleep rough in an Aberdonian hotel. After which we board the 0706 ScotRail service alighting at 0820 in Dundee on Wednesday morning

We then stop for breakfast before boarding 1V60, the 0933 CrossCountry service to Leeds, which arrives at 1405 on Wednesday afternoon!

We then leg it for the 1407 service to Manchester Victoria arriving at 1530 on wednesday.

We make our way to the two east-bound bay platforms and on platform 2 we board the 1548 Northern service to Selby that arrives at 1751 on Wednesay afternoon.

And then 1K22, the 1800 First TransPennine Express service to Hull, which arrives at 1839 on Wednesday evening.

This now affords us the opportunity to use a TOC not often used on our "Grand Tour", so we board the 1910 Hull Trains service to London Kings Cross that arrives in the capital city at 2146 on Wednesday evening.

We then jump on the Victoria Line of the London Underground, to Victoria, which leaves Kings Cross St Pancras at 2201 and arrives at 2210.

After a quick cup of coffee at Victoria, we board the 2230 GX to Gatwick Airport., hoping to arrive at 2300 on the Wednesday evening. As we hold a "Southern Only" ticket, we wonder what will happen when the Ticket Inspector comes along....

Time enough for our onwards connection and we board the 2311 FCC service to Brighton (East Sussex) that arrives at 2345 on a chilly Wednesday evening.

We decide to call it a night and, after some sleep and breakfast, head off the following (Thursday) morning on the 0803 Southern train to Portsmouth Harbour, arriving there at 0921.

Are Wightlink services allowed on this game?

Yes it does exclude the Isle of Wight and also the Scilly Isles. If people really want to go there though an exception could be made for these as they are still in England although in the case of the Scilly Isles you couldn't use the helicopter unless an exception was given also for that.

As requested, we allow ourselves 75 minutes for exploration and time to return to the station, where we then board the 1123 FGW service to Cardiff Central that arrives at 1343 on Thursday afternoon.

We then go for chips and fun in the 'slots' (as appeared in Gavin and Stacey) on 2Y49, the 1355 Arriva Trains Wales service to Barry Island, which arrives at 1425 on Thursday afternoon.

We then jump on 2C37, the 1551 Arriva Trains Wales service to Coryton for a spot of lunch in the local pub, which arrives there at 1613 on Thursday afternoon.

After all the bus and train journeys, it is time to return to "the big city", so we board the 1842 ATW service to Cardiff Central that arrives at 1850 on Thursday evening.
