It only happens when you go via Google (or I think other search engines too).

I go via Safari and Chrome on my iPad mini and nothing works. I can no longer use Railforums on my ipad.

It's fine on my laptop, and in any browser. This site seems to hate iOS since the v8 "upgrade"

As an aside, will it be possible to get the 'report post' function back inside Tapatalk? It's annoying having to go into to the web browser, and logging in there

Just loaded up the site on my mobiles Chrome browser to be greeted with a screen advertising Tapatalk.

Has this been recently added or is it the KFC wifi connection I'm using doing it?

It happened to me just now at home, along with banner at the top of the page (TalkTalk with Google Chrome on Samsung Note 8.0)

Just in the process of installing the add-on to allow the Tapatalk App to work, by request of some people, as Tapatalk have recently started to become a lot more friendly and deliver what people actually want rather than take over websites and deprive website owners of important revenue. I've removed their sneaky banner now though.

Yay! Just seen it now shows new messages in the pull in list now, and must therefore support all the other cool new things.

Thank you so much.

I'm getting a new variation on the "double back" glitch.

Sometimes pressing the back page arrow just once will skip about 5 or 6 pages back, frequently landing me in the website I visited before coming onto the forum!

It's intermittent; sometimes it works correctly and then it'll do it several times or vice versa. This happens both at home and at work in lunchtimes; the software is different at each end.

Yes, I've experienced similar this weekend on my iPad.

Hi there,
Fairly often today when I visit the Forums I get a virus warning come up.

It's Trojan.Swifi on a file of vip_117[1].swf

Can someone (mods?) check what the adverts are trying to do please?

Well I've just spent 15 mins typing a reply and when I came to press the reply button I was taken to the sign in page, did so and found I had lost everything that I just typed<( has this happened to anyone else, or is it just me?

If you type into the quick reply box and something interrupts the posting process (your login timing out for example) you will lose your post. To prevent that use 'Go Advance' and if you have any issues your web browser's back button should allow you to go back to the post you were typing and find it there.

Browsing the forum via Safari on an iPad recently, and am having to go back 4, 5 or 6 times on occasion to get back to where I was, when 1 or 2 'backs' should be sufficient. Can't say I've found the same problem on other websites so far

I have experienced this in a few other forums that I have been via (though am not a member of)

Funnily enough I sent a PM to Yorkie the other day describing a similar problem, except I'm using a PC. I'm also finding that when a page hangs up, the bit in the lower left corner is invariably showing the URL to an advertising server...

To ensure the message reaches the technology team, you are best off either using the Contact Us link, or sending a PM to the following forum staff: Mike395, Matt & Mojo

(Peter - I have forwarded your message to Mojo)

Thanks :)

It's a the bottom of each page, and is for non-time critical general communication.

(note, on a different matter, if you see a problem with a post, ie. if any content causes you concern, please alert us to it, by reporting it with the report button (
report.gif
), which alerts us all).
