I am taking the over half and my little one over to the Isle of Wight next month and was trying to work out the cheapest way of getting there.
I am travelling with the customary friends and family railcard and my daughter is nearly 3.
Checked out the through fares on red spotted hanky and also splitting the journey up - and although the through fare from Slade Green to Ryde Hoverport worked out cheaper than trying to split the tickets and buying a seperate ticket for the Hovercraft.
I discovered by chance that using Oyster PAYG I would have saved a mere 80p by buying a ticket from London Terminals to Portsmouth Stations - using PAYG between Slade Green and London Waterloo.
So I went on to check how much an off peak return from London Waterloo to Ryde Hoverport was.....RSH shows no fare available!
Tried London Terminals again no fare available!
How can there be a fare from Slade Green to Ryde Hoverport but oddly not one showing from Waterloo?
I hope that makes sense!!!!
