Hi All
I've just been caught by surprise pulling into Gloucester & being passed by 57305, a barrier coach & another Grog 57 on the back working the very late 13.10 Newport Docks (Sims) - Leicester LIP. Can anyone confirm the ID of the barrier coach & the 57 please?

Barrier vehicles were 6340 and 6344. The working down was 5W78 0834 Long Marston to Sims the scrappie at Newport Docks conveying ex GWR Mark3s

Great many thanks, it was the return working I caught so would have just been the barrier vehicles in the consist.

70011 was reported at Bredbury RTS (FLHH) at 0810 this morning and no other loco was showing there so pretty sure this is what you saw

My cousin has asked me if anyone could please solve a mystery?

At around 17.00 yesterday 25th, near Helsby, something heading towards Chester from the Warrington direction which sounds like a 397 or a TPE 802 as it was blue, had about five carriages and had an HST style pointy nose at both ends.

Is it too much to hope for an identity?

Must have been either a 195 (Leeds to Chester left at 1656) or there was an MPV which went through at 1720.
