Could someone help ID this one please - shown on RTT as 532I 10.25 Bletchley TMD to Bedford and showing as ECS DMU yet I believe a GBRf class 66 passed Stewartby at this time? (11.37)
Many Thanks
Service code is showing as class 230 tests
https://www.rail-record.co.uk/rail/liverail/train/1108161/22/01/19

The real headcodes is 5T51 which also backs this up as it's an empty coaching stock headcodes so probably not a GBRf 66.
It was 230 003.

The 66 you saw was probably this.

66768 on 4H03 Bletchley to Peak Forest

(for future reference, Stewartby isn't a timing point for freight services on that line;
you need to check Millbrook or Bedford St.Johns instead)

Just wondering if anyone has a clue to what type of train will work 5Z50 St Philips Marsh to Long Marston GBRf tomorrow (23rd) and Thursday (24th) (RTT http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/K97585/2019/01/23/advanced ). It's timed as a HST but it's been some years since any Class 43s have been to Long Marston. What appears to be the return working, 5Z51, is timed as a diesel locomotive.

My guess would be that it's an off lease HST set being moved into storage

I suspect these "may" be off lease HST coaches. There is an inbound light engine working from Eastleigh to St Philips:

As mentioned in another thread, both of the GWR barrier wagons moved to SPM from Reading yesterday and it was posted that it was for HST stock to be moved to Long Marston.

I wouldn’t be too surprised if this involved 50007!

Possibly, I've had another look and 0Z50 arrives at St Philips Marsh from Eastleigh Works GBRf (there's at least one 50 there are the moment) earlier tomorrow morning.

It doesn't look like that path has been activated today so perhaps a non-runner?

319429 seems to be some sort of anomaly in the system as it is not showing allocated to any diagram and also no depot shown either and because it is not one of my fleet I cannot check it's history.
Maybe ask on one of the "spotter" threads / sites to see if anyone has any knowledge of it (or if you know someone at WMT?) as unfortunately I am unable to locate it for you :'(

Hi mate, I have only seen 319429 on one occasion when it was being moved to Crewe for tire turning (or so I was lead to believe) on 6th October. Here is a pic of it passing Stafford on this journey (not my pic)

Remnants of the previous operator by WestCoastRail, on Flickr

I have also checked on trainlogger and all sightings of this unit since I saw it at Stafford have been at Crewe (most recently on 17th January) so it appears to be still at the Arriva Traincare depot.

Probably not the news you wanted but hopefully it answers a few questions for you
