Hi all,

I'm just wondering whether tonight's 17:16 Cardiff Central to Holyhead (and its previous working this morning, 05:33 Holyhead to Cardiff Central), were able to run with the usual loco hauled set and restaurant available, despite the flooding between Holyhead and Bangor?

The Arriva journey check website says the 17:16 tonight is formed of 3 carriages instead of 4, so I'm guessing 3-car 175? Although there isn't a catering update to say no restaurant available.

Thanks.

Anyone have any idea which unit operated 1d21 tonight - Chester to Holyhead?
Saw it pass the llandulas area, and could swear it was a 156 or 2 x 153s... didn’t look like a 158 or 150.
Thanks

Would have been an illusion to have seen a 156 or 153 there

Good afternoon.

My first post to this thread, but I have been reading for some years now.

Would anyone be able to confirm what 90014 and 90009 worked on 24/11/2017 please?

Also could anyone confirm which services 153335 worked on 24/11/2017 as well?

Thanks

Simon

Anybody know what the second class 47 behind 47815 was on Wembley yard yesterday morning? There was also a class 37 hiding behind some wagons just after the cross rail unit 345015. Finally as we approached Euston at approx 08.15 a train formed of cream and either crimson or brown pulled out and it looked like a class 67 in cream and brown at the back but not sure!
Cheers guys if anyone knows any of above.

Wondering what IEPs were really at North Pole - East end yesterday about 16:00 Saturday 25/11/2017.

From the canal I saw 800004 and 800003 nearest to me but behind them and between them was a coach (end coach iirc) from what I decided was 800017. According to my friend I said coach number was 800117 to him - all I know is I assumed it must be part of 800017. But I cannot find any IEP with a coach number of 800117 let alone one likely to have been built yet !. It occurs to me that I said 800017 believing that I was looking at a coach number when maybe it was the unit number. This is because, with hindsight, I realise I was looking at the right hand end of an end coach with the number at the inner end of that coach. The IEP on the same road to the East of it was possibly 80001? - no matter how hard I tried I could not get the fences out of the way of the last digit !.

btw 70813 has succumbed, at last, to my desperate hunting. It was further East just East of the bridge at Ladbroke Grove. That was the purpose of my visit. Also spotted were 700802 under the flyover and 70812 under the bridge at Ladbroke Grove. Incase that helps any one.

And do not try for a fly past using services to/from Acton Main Line as there appear to be none. Probably because the fast lines were closed. The only information at Acton Mainline on the screen said "Welcome to Acton Mainline" !.

47848 was with 47815 - they've been running around as a pair for a bit now.

Assuming the 37 was a ROG/Europhoenix one, it would've been 37601 which was there to do ECS duties on the ROG Chelsea Footex yesterday (Euston-Liverpool South Parkway an return - main runs hauled by 86101).

The other charter you saw was "The Chester Christmas Cracker" railtour - Tornado was leading. 67005 (Royal train livery) was the ECS loco which took it into Euston, however it stayed behind. There was no loco on the rear as it left Euston - just the generator car (coach with grills rather than windows) - so maybe that's what you saw? (The two VSOE liveried 67s were at "base" at Stewarts Lane depot yesterday morning). I'm not 100%
