12:49 Luton to Sutton service will this train be coming back to Luton. Arrives at 14:38 at Platform 1, but Platform 2 at 14:39 is the only Luton service from Sutton for a while after.

It forms the 14.40 Sutton to Blackfriars platform 3 ( 15.15 ) then 15.30 back round the loop and reaches Luton at 17.54.

I am guessing it's something you need for haulage and you just missed it?

I simply went to RTT, found the Luton departure and where it ended at Sutton, clicked on that - then looked for the immediate following departure from the same platform, found that terminates at Blackfriars, used the same trick to follow it back round. Posted you the link for the return to Luton only as I figured that would be the only one of interest to you in order to intercept it northbound.

Most of the time the loop services do indeed return straight back north, but Sundays can - as in this case - be different.

Good evening folks, could someone confirm what the FLR 66 I saw resting in the goods line at Stafford with a rake of engineers wagons earlier today (around noon) was please? I was driving past the station and was struggling to ID it. I logged 66586 but that may be (slightly) unlikely........

18:19 service Luton to Sutton this evening should of been (so I thought at least) the 22:09 Sutton to Bedford, calling at Harlington at 00:05.

I worked this out from RTT but I must have gone wrong somewhere as this wasn’t the same train.

Yes! Luton just before 6 and then departed at 18:19! Thanks so much, I seemed to of gone wrong again this evening with it though, as I have posted just above, any light?!
