I went past Polmadie yesterday (courtesy of a TPE £1 deal), and all I could see was 08887 - no sleepers at all on the East side.

Thanks. Oh well should be happy as shunters are getting rare compared to the 1970s !. As for the £1 TPE deal that sounds like something I should be worrying about. Although I am from SE England getting something cheap from Manchester Northwards might be worthwhile.

You're welcome! Take it that's a regular working then.

Sort of. The diagram is a pain in the arse as unless there’s engineering work it starts from Welwyn sidings and finishes at Welwyn sidings, with only three stabling there it means there’s a one in three chance the same unit gets allocated the next day, and in reality it seems the same unit can stick on the diagram for days on end.

Not helpful when it’s one of the services I can readily take to work, and the GN 700/0s are essentially captive and only change over with the rest of the fleet infrequently!

Grrr!
