Just secure and might be joined a couple of new sets soon as everything is finished now and I think Spain want the roomAh Longtown, Carlisle, does that mean long time storage or just secure storage?
Hopefully @Mike McNiven or someone will be out with camera.
Both listed as Class 350 EMUs???

Great to see the 397s come up to Central station tomorrow. Going into town anyway so that will be provide me with a good opportunity to get some photos and a video.Brilliant, thanks for these! Should be able to see one at Central tomorrow then

Two units (coupled) seen heading northbound just south of Wigan NW about 10 minutes ago (approx 0830). Hate to break it to you, though, they seem to be running in a path that's only as far as Carlisle...Quite, all we need is it to be cancelled last minute!

I was just speaking to someone on the train and they think they are going to GlasgowOh well, c'est la vie! Yes, looks like the original path hasn't run and they've ammended it to terminate at Carlisle as usual.
Guess still have to wait to see one in Glasgow then.
It seems to be that the RTT link is a mixture between the two. Where one drops out, the other path seems to have times at the correct time. E.g. Grayrigg expected time is 0919 on 309Z and on 311Z the train passed at 0920. Looks like a mishmash of paths maybe has occurredI was just speaking to someone on the train and they think they are going to Glasgow

309Z and 311Z are completely different trains - isn't 311Z a Class 68 + LHCS set?
I can confirm two 397s arrived safe and sound at Central to a waiting crowd of fellow enthusiasts with their cameras. Will post photos later.Yes, I see what you mean, but if 309Z and 311Z are really the same train, what was it that left Crewe Carriage Sidings at c.0739? As for the train which did actually run north, it apparently arrived at Glasgow Central c.1131 and departed c.1206. Can anyone confirm it was 2x397 which made it to Glasgow? That's what Mathew S reported the formation as being when it passed Wigan NW.
Do look good , look like a high speed train but not quite . Do wonder when they are in service?
I very much like the look of them but they need yellow ends 390 style, all the TPE stock does.
