TPE Incident at Deighton

Just had a text message from a mate, TPE Guard... 0635 Hull-Man Picc has had a fatality at Deighton.

Set to cause a few probs..

Well I don't think it would be a good idea to post the crews details, on a public forum. No offence to the op but surely we do not need another one of these threads, it seems everytime there is a one under it gets posted, I'm sure most people will check national rail for disruption not the forums.

It could be helpful to know the disruption caused for people planning on travelling who use this forum, but not necessarily details about the reason for the disruption.

There appear to be a number of cancellations but no official word from National Rail yet, TPE have a statement that makes no sense on their JourneyCheck page

Line problem in the Deighton area.

Train services at Mexborough have been disrupted due to a person hit by a train in the Deighton area.
Short notice alterations, cancellations and delays may still occur.

No idea why it says Mexborough, should say Deighton!

It is a fact this location is one of high tresspass and crimminal damage to the fences and infrastructure.
It is always sad for this to happen, for all concerned.

Not the only one to happen today then as trains were subject to cancellation and delays after a person got hit by a train at Sandy earlier today.
