Hi
Just wondering if anyone knows a website to show what trains are passing through a station (Sheffield) i would like to know the class of the train and also all freight trains planned.
Thanks
Assuming you mean the class of unit (or HST/loco) rather than the
train 'class' (class 1, class 2, etc), then no public website provides
that information - sites like RTT show the type of train a service is timed for, but as has been discussed numerous times on this forum
over the years, that's not always the same as what the service is
diagrammed for in reality!
I agree with the other answers. I always use RealTime Trains and Open Train Times. As Freightmaster says, you do not get all the info but you can certainly see what is happening and can plan any visits to the station once you get used to how RTT and OTT work.
Also OTT has a map of Sheffield station which extends up to Meadowhall and down the Midland Mainline to Chesterfield and beyond. Try this link:-
