There's a whole sub forum for this:-Hi guys,
I’m new to this forum.
There’s a trainee train driver vacancy. I work in a completely different field but always wanted to be a train driver. Can anyone advise what are the chances of being selected please?

Congratulations and Good luck tomorrow. It doesn’t matter what field you work in now, all that matters is you demonstrate the skills required and you’ll get a chance. I’ve been a postie all my working life, have only applied for one trainee role, got a DMI, passed that and have my assessments/MMI tomorrow.
Whether I pass or fail, I’ve been treated completely fairly.
Congratulations and Good luck tomorrow.
Which company did you apply?
First time that I see someone mentioning DMI before any assessment.
I heard that some does is in between, after the paper assessments and before the computer/MMI.
What are the chances? Almost non existent. Simply going by the number of applicants Vs the number of jobs available, the chances of getting the job are miniscule.Hi guys,
