37706 light loco on the 0Z37 0830 Southall Wcr to Eastleigh Trsmd :D :D
I shouldn't have seen it but it left late and was diverted due to the fatality at Slough. Booked route was via Reading but in the end it reversed in the platform to go a different way, initially heading towards London.

Meanwhile, as my planned 0901 non-stop Paddington was stuck the other side of Slough (1P97 0828 Bourne End to London Paddington), I got
360201 on the 2Y22 0851 Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 to London Paddington
Passengers asked to move right down the platform as rear two of five were full and standing. They're the busiest anyway as no one moves down at both Hayes and Southall. Class 360 last coach finishes at the end of the canopy, yet majority will always stand under it, despite the huge sign. Most of them made a half-arsed attempt to move down, still being where the rear three coaches were. I went to the end, where only a few others were standing, and had a choice of seats.

I know they're not done properly, like with 142091 yesterday, as I haven't added its proper start time and origin, but I haven't the time for a few weeks to do them all I'm afraid! As they are will have to do!

I also had the misfortune of travelling on a lone two car 175 towards Cardiff on rugby match night on the 6th Feb. I think this was the most overcrowded service I've ever been on and I counted about 60 people crammed in the middle vestibules of the 175 after Cwmbran. It was this service.

What an experience for some, a Pacer on the Fishguard Boats on your report. I hope they had a smooth ride across the Irish sea first.

I wasn't even going to Cardiff for the Rugby, just to meet up with some friends which was planned before we even realised the rugby was on, whoops!! But yes, as I was travelling down from the Cambrian Coast changing at Shrewsbury, it was disappointing to get off a very light loaded 4-car 158 going to Birmingham for a 2 car 175 to turn up that was already full and standing. It was very full by Hereford and crush loaded from Pontypool, and we still had Cwmbran to go! Note to self in future: Check event days well in advance.

Agreed. Luckily I wasn't going to uni on Friday as I know travel would have been chaotic!

I got the 0540 to Manchester on Saturday morning and there were still some late-night revellers who had been out all night going back to Newport!

After many years observation, I finally saw a non-HST passenger train at Steventon today-a CrossCountry Voyager. ECS though but it still counts. I've seen more Class 40 or steam hauled specials than DMUs. The last (and first) unit I saw was the 150 test train last year. I guess the Banbury blockage is the reason it went that way.

I'm not complaining-I'll miss the blue HSTs when they go...

Guys, I'm really sorry to say, but I just do not have the time to type up my observations. I am now three weeks behind on my observations, and I just haven't got the time to type them up on here.

I will no longer be using this thread, or if I do, it will be extremely limited or will only be commenting on other member's observations. Please follow: @DBrail123 where I will upload my observations on the move.

Really sorry for those who don't have Twitter!

I sympathise Dan, I just didn't have the time to type up tons of observations on a few occasions last year and this was especially so towards the end of 2014. I had so many to do from last week's trip I ended up simply copy-pasting the lot off the phone! To process the lot would take up a LOT of time, which is not there.

I'm following your account on Twitter, and asked it to push notifications to my phone when you tweet so I can keep up to date (done this with other people too), but it rarely does what it says it will do. So if I don't comment or whatever very often, it's because I just haven't seen most of the tweets! I'm sure you know what I mean when I say there just isn't time to go searching for everyone's profile to see all their tweets sometimes!

Point is I know what it's like, but as a fellow fan of Twitter I'm glad you're still going with them on there. Believe it or not I do appreciate each and everyone of them, as it makes my news feed interesting to read!

Don't mind at all, Dan. Great viewing quicker on DBrail123.

Oh, by the way you said you only a 6 minute connection at Cardiff Central off the 153 Radyr train in the morning. All stations have a minimum connection time (used in Journey Planner) and CDFs is 7 minutes !!! Useful info on this on a useful site "brtimes"

Yes I know but I'm only a minute out!

And on a Pacer this is doable, but I won't open that can of worms any more this morning!

Not quite sure how a 142 ended up on the Cardiff Bay shuttles, though I suspect the 153 had a train fault earlier as I saw a sign earlier in the day that said "no trains to Cardiff Bay".

The Bay Shuttle did in fact fail round about mid-day resulting in a number of trips being cancelled, so your assumption would be correct.

ECS moves are running between Eastleigh and Central Rivers for Voyagers to get home for maintenance. There seems to be no set Timetable.
