There are definitely some issues with login. Every time you refresh the page it has to go back and forth a couple of times to make sure you're still the same person. I was going to sort that last week but I got focused on making it switch between maps faster, and I ran out of time.

Hopefully I should be able to make it refresh as quickly as the old site.
My main gripe is really having to log in each time I go to the site! I'll maybe only use it one day per week, and that means I'll often only bother using the public site instead of the new one as I'll be signed out each time.

Would TOTP be a nice trade-off for allowing longer auth sessions?

A feature that i personally would like to see added alongside RTT integration would be Railrecord integration as Railrecord provides a lot more information geared towards enthusiasts. Most rail enthusiasts i know prefer using Railrecord over RTT so i think Railrecord integration would be a worthwhile addition to Traksy .

If you tick "remember me" on the login screen it *should* remember you pretty well for up to 90 days. What I should probably do is default that box to ticked.

it does currently forget you every time the server gets restarted though, which is every few weeks. again I know how to fix that and it will get done at some point

To be honest I've never heard of rail record. It's definitely worth considering if I get a decent number of requests. of course the aim with improving the schedules view is to get all the information that rail record has into Traksy anyway!

Does the new site have individual pages for direct linking to schedules or is it popup like the last one ? ( I did pay for the beta a few months ago but can't remember...)

Happy to help you with any information you need. Looking forward to you adding the X7 I sent a few weeks ago <:D

Would be good if Traksy also had a dynamic URL where I could send people straight to a diagram with a matching schedule/headcode .

Eg Traksy . Com /2C23/X7 where I provide the Describer and headcode and Traksy puts me there lol ( I would use this a lot myself...)

It's just changed from popups to individual pages in the new app. In practice on the new site it's still a single-page app, but the URL neatly reflects the page which is on display, rather than having cryptic references to all the pages and maps which are currently open.

https://traksy.uk/stations/gb will take you to an (ugly) list of stations where you can click through to station and train pages. By default all these will show as static pages rather than as part of the new app, but if you add /new onto the start of the path then it will go to the new site for people who have it. Eventually the subscription app and the non-subscription site will both share the URLs, with subscribed users just switched to automatically open them in the app, if that makes sense.

X7 is live in the new maps. I don't think it will make it to the old maps because it's a manual process to build the SOP table there, but obviously I do intend to retire the old maps at some point fairly soon.

I do need to fix up tracking, and it would make sense as part of that to have a URL which just took a train uid and redirected to the appropriate map. I'll have a think when I get back from holiday.

Thanks Steve.
Unfortunately I signed up a few months ago as I said but when I try to re subscribe the button only takes me to my stripe account page, with no call to action to re initiate my payment plan. I'm guessing the subscription isn't active which is why all the schedules on Traksy say "train doesn't run today/blank" and the maps don't load?

On the new site that would be the case. Could you send a screenshot of the Stripe page to info@ ? I thought it just went through the normal subscription flow for former subscribers so I've never seen what it looks like

Just sent. An email.
Seems because I'm existing account and the site thinks any access to the new site would assume to have an active subscription. But because I cancelled I still have the account and it makes it difficult to actually to go back to the payments plans page unless I use the permalink directly. Instead sending me straight to the account page in stripe wherein I can handle my details/cards etc but not reinstate a plan.

Ahh, got you. I accidentally made messaging to non-subscribers on the new site worse in the last update, otherwise it would likely have been a bit more obvious. That could account for why there's been a bit of a drop-off in new subscribers since I released the update  . Hopefully I can fix that in the next day or so.

In the meantime I have fixed the subscriptions page https://traksy.uk/pages/sub/ so that users with an expired subscription are taken through to the stripe page where they can buy a new subscription.

More issues im afraid mate sent an email.

Trying to resub in the trekant site i press subscribe but it sends me to a registration form.
So Instead I press login top right and it then tells me I'm already logged in.

Assuming a cookie conflict I log out. Blank page. Log back in, blank page.
Although the login does seem to work albeit no redirect / blank sso page , the cookie doesn't carry over to the trekant subdomain so it's not allowing me to resubscribe that way.

Obviously I shouldn't have cancelled my subscription in the first place. Lol

Try going to https://traksy.uk/pages/sub/

I had the same problem with the original link where it wanted me to login, but going to the one I've posted here worked (got there from the front page of the site) and let me subscribe.

Similar to your situation - I had made an account a while ago, then had issues setting up a payment so ended up with an account but no subscription, then could never add a subscription.

Hope Takno can forgive me for trying to use the beta site which Traksy suggested I try out as a "subscriber" but which never actually worked properly, possibly because of the lack of actual subscription!

Anyway happy paying subscriber now and thanks Takno for the amazing site which is well worth paying for!
:D

I use the Traksy site all the time and it is really useful for travels and general interest in rail operations. I have one question though - I live on the North Wales coast and I can never work out how trains approaching from North Wales into CTR platforms 2,3 and 4 get between the two blocks highlighted in red:

Hmm, my recollection of Chester's layout matches OTT (screnshot attached) which is thst trains from Roodee can't access the wrong line and there is a crossover to provide direct access from the 'right' track

Yes - the OTT diagram appears correct. Looks like the Traksy map needs some adjustment

I'll add it to the list. From memory Chester was drawn from bad and possibly quite outdated pictures of the signalbox, so it wouldn't be hugely surprising if there were errors

I just watched 1H95 make the jump, and from there it appeared at Platform 1, which also seems implausible.

Yes, the OTT map matches my copy of the Sectional Appendix, so it probably should look something like this (just not as crudely as I've done it quickly on a mobile phone) :

My only real feedback with Traksy new site is the amount of zooming in and out on mobile, see the below video I made. When the map or timetable sits just right in the viewport, the floating timetable / search bar becomes rediculously small requiring a good amount of zoom , and then back out again to see the map etc.
Not sure if there's any way to make the search bar a fixed sticky size at the top and then the map subject to zoom in out etc.

It looks like you have desktop mode turned on. Certainly that's the only way I can get the search bar that small

How did that happen lol
All fixed and much better thanks

I'm sure you already aware but some of the schedules don't load the timetable properly eg on the attached image 6R38 (STP) 30th April.
Thankyou.
