When the Boohoo services started they were funded by BooHoo as part of planning conditions relating to their significant expansion. I don’t know if that was still the funding source, as that was around 7/8 years ago now.The V1 and V3 buses to the Boohoo warehouse in Burnley are to be withdrawn from 8th February due to funding coming to an end.
I don't know how many people used them, obviously not enough to make them commercially viable, but it is a very poor state of affairs that Boohoo are supposed to be the largest employer in Burnley now but will have no bus service.

Had to be towed to the depot on Saturday from Knaresborough. Gone for a warrenty repair.I spotted one of Harrogate's new eCitaros, 1005, on a low loader today, but was heading away from the depot, going up Knaresborough Road towards the Empress roundabout/Harrogate, so presumably being sent away to somewhere.
Is the cold weather affecting their battery efficiency perhaps? Some nasty gaps in peak hours on local routes. Then again another eCitaro appears to have sat down during Thursday evening. It does mean the Starfleet is seeing a lot of all-day use. On the plus side it appears E400EV 2211 has now entered service.Had to be towed to the depot on Saturday from Knaresborough. Gone for a warrenty repair.
Meanwhile the Volvo Electrics have been very poorly this week with yesterdays allocation of 6 quickly dropping to 2 and today of 4 in use one seems to have been very erratic and another packed in mid afternoon. Keeps a tow truck driver occupied.
Are they kept inside overnight? If they were out in -8 degrees will the batteries charge?Had to be towed to the depot on Saturday from Knaresborough. Gone for a warrenty repair.

We'll be making some changes to the S1 and 727H school buses from 20 January.
To help ensure we've got room for everyone to travel, the 727H will extend to Ripley. The S1 will no longer serve Harrogate Grammar School.
Students travelling from Ripley, Killinghall and Jennyfield should catch the 727H to Harrogate Grammar School and the S1 to Rossett School.
Theres only workshop cover at the Starbeck DepotAre they kept inside overnight? If they were out in -8 degrees will the batteries charge?
The new E-Citaro buses are the worst buses. 1002 was the bus. Ticket machine 90BYTGB. On the 7. It wasn't being charged at stand 8 where the 7 leaves from in Harrogate, it was further down the bus station at one of the higher number stands. Do they even have chargers? Do any chargers work? It was moved to stand 8 at the last minute for the service, and left late as a result. It was freezing cold yesterday and the bus hadn't been pre-conditioned and several people were commenting about the temperature. It was very cold. The heaters are very weak and the bus hardly heated up at all during the journey. The previous buses had strong heaters.
It was the gloomiest, most depressing bus that I have ever been on. The interior wall panels are black. The sloped panels between the ceiling and the walls are large and have huge dark red/maroon HBC advertising pictures on them.
The lighting is limited to 6 small panels on the ceiling of which only 3 were illuminated during the whole journey, except at bus stops were there was some more lighting around the driver's cab/passenger doors. These strips have some small circle designs in them. The strips are not bright and not very long, because the ceiling width is narrow,, because the sloped panels are so large. It was so dark on the bus that you struggled to read anything. The previous buses had lights running the length of the bus at each side above the windows and were much brighter.
The announcements are in the same shrill voice as the previous buses, but the speakers are of the worst quality. The audio on the previous buses was good. On the Citaro it sounds like it was recorded underwater.
There are not enough grab rails. A lot of the seats have just small handles attached. The USB charging points are fitted ridiculously low at the bottom of the seats in front, whereas they used to be at the top. Except at the forward facing seats over the rear wheels, where the USB point is attached to the wall, so if you are sitting in the aisle seat, you have to invade the space of the passenger in the window seat to plug into the charger. You also have to hope that one of you has a standard USB and the other has a USB-C as there is only one of each type in the single shared socket. There is no wireless charging in those seats either, although those are useless as they hardly fit any phone securely and they just fall out en-route. There is also a cover on the floor in those seats on the left, in the window seat. It looks like an up-turned plate or bowl. That is a tripping hazard and irritating under your feet. A very bad design.
The bus is noisy. At low speeds you hear all the squeaks and rattles, even though it is new. That was surprising. As the speed builds up after Sainsbury's/Showground, there is so much drivetrain noise, it is louder than the previous diesel buses. I even wondered if it was a hybrid as the noise sounded like a diesel engine operating when the speed was high, which went away when it slowed. Over a certain speed, every time, it was as if an engine was cutting in.
End of an era. I always admired Reliance and their way of doing things. Their smart, modern and well presented fleet always stood out amongst the rest. The first few buses have transferred from Reliance to Transdev ahead of the handover tomorrow.
5 - "New Approach" Volvo Eclipse 3
17 - "Mirror Image" ADL 200MMC
16 - "Yorkshire Lass" ADL 200MMC
23 - "Gracie Anne" Volvo Gemini
18 - "Captain Tom" Volvo Gemini 2
9 ("Yorkshire Lad" ADL 200MMC) has been sent to Cummins for engine work and will then be sent to Rawcliffe once work is complete.
Interesting - so presumably one of those will be used tomorrow; I was thinking the vehicles woiuld all move tomorrow and probably a Transdev Go B7RLE be used. The first few buses have transferred from Reliance to Transdev ahead of the handover tomorrow.

Unlikely they'll be moved as they're still in Reliance livery. If they are going to be moved at any point I'm guessing it'll be if and when they get repainted.Interesting - so presumably one of those will be used tomorrow; I was thinking the vehicles woiuld all move tomorrow and probably a Transdev Go B7RLE be used.
They will be used in Reliance colours until repainted but with York & Country fleetnames - Paul Turner has posted on Facebook a photo of a blue background York & Country vinyl applied to the front of Gemini BJ11 EAE with the comment of Welcome 2411.Unlikely they'll be moved as they're still in Reliance livery. Agree, I'll certainly miss them. At least the green will stick around for a little bit longer.End of an era. I always admired Reliance and their way of doing things. Their smart, modern and well presented fleet always stood out amongst the rest.
4 Eclipses have now transferred to Transdev so I wouldn't be surprised if they're both used tomorrow.Interesting - so presumably one of those will be used tomorrow; I was thinking the vehicles woiuld all move tomorrow and probably a Transdev Go B7RLE be used.
Thanks for the update. It's a good job I managed to retrieve my hat from 26 today - I left it on the bus last Saturday on the 74, and after its 'holiday' in York, I duly collected it from the bus at Knaresborough this morning, with thanks to the driver!

By that you mean you’ve removed it from BusTimes, not necessarily it’s been removed from the depot?29 - Volvo Gemini won't transfer to Transdev and has been removed after not being used since November.
Yes, although I didn't remove it, someone else did. I am aware of the usual caveats when it comes to Bustimes and vehicle data.By that you mean you’ve removed it from BusTimes, not necessarily it’s been removed from the depot?
There are charging facilities for the eCitaros at the bus station at ground level at some bays. I can only presume looking at the tracking it was last Wednesday which if the tracking is right 1002 was not used for 4 1/2 hours. Possibly something was left switched on in error which depleted the battery meaning it needed a top up before working the 1508 '7'; that left 8 minutes late. Not surprised you didn't see an eCitaro charging at the bus station, the vehicles aren't fitted with the necessary kit!
Ahh, apologies, I completely misread and as such misunderstood your original post! They will be used in Reliance colours until repainted but with York & Country fleetnames - Paul Turner has posted on Facebook a photo of a blue background York & Country vinyl applied to the front of Gemini BJ11 EAE with the comment of Welcome 2411.
