Travel photography: Asia

Hi Folks,

Some of you may have noticed a lack of updates regarding rail pictures on my website so far this year. Well, the reason is that I'm away in Asia for a while, and the country I'm in at the moment (Laos) is somewhat sort of them*

So, here's some travel photography instead:

* In fact there's been a line built over the border from Thailand into the Lao capital, Vientiene, but It's not open yet. I'll have some pictures of it in a week or so. After that the rail pictures will be restored as we'll be travelling across Thailand and Malaysis by train.

Indeed, really fascinating! I found the 'Wi-fi' shot in the Laos gallery most surprising. Times are really changing.

You're not kidding! 12 years ago I did a trip around the world for 18 months and most travellers were still using mail drops at Poste restante. The Internet was available in some places and beginning to grow, but many people still didn't use it.

One thing that has amused me about this trip is the number of young people who spend about as much time telling their friends what they've been up to via Facebook as they actually spending sightseeing!

Perhaps you should dive into the wonders of Photography in India and United Arab Emirates, some very differnt places that encompass massive differences in Culture, and you can get artistic photographs while your at it.
