I've seen departure boards in cafes, waiting rooms and pubs on train stations before, which isn't particularly unusual, and often is useful to keep an eye on while you have a brew/pint waiting for your train. I've seen them in other places dotted around the station too (car parks attached to the station, etc).
But where is the most unusual place you've seen one?
My entry has to be this:
Was having a meal here and they had a departure board for Newcastle on the TV. The channel had details about the pub including offers for food, drink, etc as well as news and sport updates as well as a link to what seemed to be a YouTube channel. I'm guessing it is some sort of subscription channel the pub pays for, but the departure board was unusual, especially considering York is closer, and obviously a big station too - but maybe they don't get the choice?
The distance from pub to station on the road is 92 miles. There was a delay on the board as well, and I checked it to RTT and it was showing accurately in real time as well.
