"Fort William", the William in question being "William of Orange"

Not quite correct. The current FW is named after Butcher Cumberland son of George II who harried the Highlands after the 45 rebellion and the Culloden incident.

There was a former FW which later became Duncansburgh.

Daisy Hill and Maryhill could be cousins of Rose Hill perhaps. Not forgetting
that other Rose - Rose Grove.

Then there's Dean also Dean Lane, and two ladies called Hope with their gentleman friends Garth and Warwick.

Or Elsie Carr, Fay Gate, Kelvin Hall and one of my favourites Miles Platting.

Let's not be forgetting the Scotsman who settled in Mid-Wales: the great MacYnlleth. And the regular holidaymaker (so we'll forgive the pronunciation): Penny-chain.

And then there's also:
Oz Westry
Roman Bridge
Tony Pandy

With talk of extending West Midlands Metro to Dudley and Croydon Tramlink to Sutton, a rail route between the two places could also be provided and to be known colloquially as the Dudley Sutton railway.

Incidentally, soon after leaving the delights of Cat Ford you're straight into the arms of Bell(e) Ingham and then Bec Kenham-Hill followed by Raven Sbourne, before visiting your gender-conflicted bro Miley, so conflicted he/she can't spell their name properly!

Falkirk Grahamston is named either after a 17th century soldier James Graham, or (more likely) his ancestor Sir John de Graeme.

Clapham Junction was named after a male bus passenger chosen at random.

Almost every entry in this thread has made me smile, but this one made me laugh.

I nominate it as Top Post...

...along with Topcliffe, Topham, Bank Top (2), Top Shed.... (Oh no! send for the men in white coats)
