Hi all,
I'm just wondering if anyone had any more information in regards to what delayed this train between Birmingham and Cheltenham on Tuesday evening?
A person on the Cross Country Facebook page alleges that a Voyager originally forming a Plymouth to Leeds service was coupled to the rear of the Bristol train at Birmingham and left with the passengers originally on the Leeds train still onboard.
Sometime after leaving Birmingham, someone pulled the pass com, as the service was in the Bromsgrove area and supposedly only then, did the driver only know about the rear set/passengers thinking it was still going towards Leeds.
I believe the Leeds train was being sent towards Bristol to ensure Cross Country had a sufficient number of Voyagers overnight at Barton Hill after an earlier person hit by a train incident.
I'm lead to believe it's possible the driver may not have known about the extra Voyager being attached if they hadn't turned up before the attachment took place/possibly faulty TMS only showing the driver details of the front set.
