There are a number of different types of member on our forum:
Forum Staff - Administrator
Administrators have total technical control of the forum. They have the ability to modify details of the forum, as well as having all the powers of a moderator.
Forum Staff - Moderator
Moderators have powers to lock, edit, move and various other things to any post or topic in any forum.
Quizmaster
Quizmasters are responsible for the day to day operation of our Quizzes and Games Forum and have some moderation powers in that area.
Fares Advisor
Fares Advisors are volunteer members, who we have deemed knowledgeable and experienced in railway ticketing matters. Please note that the forum cannot be held responsible for any advice given, however Fares Advisors will try their best to give advice where they can. Should you wish to be considered for this rank we recommend, in the first instance attending a Fares Workshop.
Senior Fares Advisor
Senior Fares Advisors are Fares Advisors who have limited moderation powers to assist the Administrator and Modorator teams with the day to day operation of our Fares, Ticketing and Routeing section.
Jobs & Careers Assistants
Jobs & Careers Assistants are appointed on the basis of their knowledge of working in the rail industry, and have limited moderation powers to assist with the day to day operation of our popular Railway Jobs & Careers section.
Verified Rep.
Verified Representatives are members who have been confirmed as authorised to speak on behalf of their company or organisation. Should you wish to be considered for this rank or for an account with this rank, please PM IanXC.
New Member
New members have yet to make many posts on the forum, so please be aware they'll still be finding their way around, and that they cannot usually send Private Messages.
Awaiting Activation
These are new members whose first few posts are being monitored as part of our spam strategy.
Member
Member is our standard user rank, these users do not have any special privileges relevant to other members.
Established Member
Established Members are members who have made a significant number of contributions to the forum, and again do not have any special privileges relevant to other members.
Veteran Member
Veteran Members are long standing members who have made a very significant number of contributions to the forum. They do not have any special privileges relevant to other members.
On Moderation
Members who are On Moderation have their contributions to the forum reviewed by the forum staff before they are visible to everyone else.
Awaiting Email Confirmation
This category is for members who have not yet replied to our email to verify their email address. It is not possible to post, and undertake certain other functions, until this has been done.
