Balfours and their rock-bolting contractor were securing overhanging and loose areas in the tunnel - it's unlined, hence previous Works clearing away fallen rock.
And the person that would know about trains running was on holiday! I'll never make a decent informed source.
Yate Middle????! hock:
That area has been controlled from Bristol PSB since 1971!

Trains are supposed to be starting in a couple of weeks, after the Filton four tracking is complete.Yesterday they replaced the broken sleepers so things look imminent.
Hi,
I live next door to the line in Iron Acton and we were surprised as well when they worked through the night digging holes in the crossing - although luckily we were not close enough to be disturbed. We were amused by their letter stating that due to health and safety they had to work when no trains were running........ Yesterday they replaced the broken sleepers so things look imminent.

I do find this very odd that they would do the works at night, especially during the engineering blockade at Filton Bank - you would have thought it was all hands on deck with that project.
Thanks for that.First train went down today at 12.

I can't see anything in RTT for this week, other than the (speculative) DCR path...?According to real-time trains it is back in the schedules from Wednesday onwards, but only in one direction!
That'll be a Freightliner loco and not Colas. And empties it is!
Sorry not great photos
Are colas now running this flow or are DCRail hiring in?

Three/four trains a week are running from Tytherington to Appleford, operated by Freightliner.Any updates at all as to what's happening down there?
