I have very stupidly left my tickets at home for the above journey

I have got on the 1544 Hull trains service intendibg to go to doncaster and change I assume this will be cheaper than ec

Can anyone offer any advice on any ticket options? I feel like such a fool

I only need a single should I change at say retford to save money or stay on to donny as time is not important!

Edit: I see you are already on the Hull Train :( Given that it's a peak train I think you are stuffed and there's no way to avoid a hefty fare :(

KGX - DON Hull Trains only £71.00
DON - YRK Any Permitted £12.50
YRK - NTR GC Only £6.00 (This will be valid on the 1650 ex-KGX) or Any Permitted £9.60

You would have been better off taking the 1650 KGX-NTR GC service direct, KGX - NTR Anytime Single is £69.00

[stn]KGX[/stn] = London King's Cross
[stn]DON[/stn] = Doncaster
[stn]YRK[/stn] = York
[stn]NTR[/stn] = Northallerton

An alternative to the above is to just sit there and kick off at the staff and say you already have a ticket - then get all mouthy, get thrown off by another passenger and sue for loads of riches!

Oh, and let someone in front of you know in advance so they can film it.

I know how it feels, having done it myself.

I probs would have gone for the GC option, but however you approach it, its still £70+ lost, and it simply isn't worth dwelling on it. Just enjoy being home again!

Dave - exactly! My own fault hang over sleep in, rush, forget things I just got a bit worried when I put the journey into the ticket machine and saw the cost!

I was very happy to jump on HT and as island says buy on board
