Thank you Mark, I don't suppose you know what type of wagon they've been converted from?
I’ve seen rumours that GBRF are taking over the Portbury-Margam imported steel slab workings (GBRF route learners out on the branch last two weekends) so maybe they are for that flow? Probably needs discussing in the freight flow thread. I might pop out to see this one.
On a related subject, please could someone let me know what is working the 6Z55/6Z53 & 6Z50/51 Portbury-Morgan steel trains today?

If you are in London then a trip to Selhurst is feasible. Usually a fair number of 171s visible almost opposite the station entrance. Parked in sidings ending right at the road. Then a walk down the side of the sidings (through the park).
Four ‘cargowaggons’ in tow. So not slab carriers.
