Use of 'Emoji' and general post legibility

Part of the problem is that pages are served as ISO-8859-1 which only contains the 1st 256 code points of unicode when emoji are higher up. The euro sign should also be a problem but an updated version swaps a few symbols out.

Test: Euro, generic currency sign, kettle + 3 carriages

For things like the Euro sign I tend to use Alt codes - well, I have to as I'm using an older keyboard. Let's see if that works here: €
